I paid for a pretty reliable tv streaming service that streams every boxing ppv, it's called streamtvnow. www.streamtvnow.tv

It doesn't cost much and you can take a 10 days subscription.

I had a membership there for two or three years. I ended up canceling due to lack of consistency for the big fights.

Really? I've never paid for a long membership but everytime I've wanted to watch a fight there, I've been able to see it in pretty good quality. Anyway, if someone's willing to pay for a short subscription (around 10 $), I'm sure Pac-Hatton will be streamed there tonight.

Hatton is a real mucker, but I agree. I'm having a fight party at my place tonight and I can't wait. BYOB, but no one has to pay for the fight. As I always say, I would have ordered it anyway.

There’s a difference between being a boxing fan and allowing yourself to be taken advantage of because you are a boxing fan. What other sport fans have to pay these excessive prices that we do? $49.99 is not an acceptable price for me to pay for 1 night of boxing that I’m going to get to see later either on HBO or youtube. I used to buy this PPV shit back when Tito was still a welter but I eventually came to my financial senses. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

So I say if you want to pay for a PPV that’s fine, but don’t come on here and try to call other people out on how much of a boxing fan they are because they won’t pay. Also remember the country is in an economic crunch so maybe some people can’t even afford it.

REED Understands if Guys Don't Want to ORDER the PPV, but REED Can't See how ANY So-Called "Boxing Fan" can LIVE w/Themselves if they DON'T See this Fight AS IT HAPPENS...

A BIG Part of Boxing's Appeal is the SUSPENSE of Watching it LIVE...1nce U KNOW the Result of a Fight, it's AUTOMATICALLY COMPROMISED to Some Degree...& as a Self-Professed "Boxing Geek" (Coined by Max Kellerman), there's NATHAN BETTER than Logging Onto Fightbeat to DISCUSS a Big Fight that Just Took Place...

REED HATES Being that Guy that DIDN'T Order or See the Fight, who has to WAIT til the Replay...

I have to agree. I just worry it's going to be a big waste of money. I could see Manny blitzing Hatton and it'll be like watching one of Tyson's old 90 second fights.

Having said that ... I'll be watching.

Well actually for some people, we don't have a choice. If I could pay for it and watch it on my plasma, I would, but I don't have cable/satellite, and I live in a listed regency building.

So a stream is my only option.

I'll go one step further, the fight is compromised to some degree once the fight has happened, but you DON'T even know the result.

It still just doesn't have the same suspense and excitement watching the fight as it happens, knowing anything can happen.

Even if you don't know the result, you do know there is a result, and the outcome is pre-determined. Which makes it harder to root for your guy, knowing that it won't have any effect

I know....even when it's on here! Calzaghe Kessler was on at 3am odd. Ah well, believe it or not I don;t resent it at tis stage. It's part of the experience and the ritual. There's something special about Buffer finally rattling out his 'lets get ready to rumbleleeeeee!' at 4am once you're absolutely faggoted from drinking for 7 hours. You begin to yell and jump about before you realize you're waking up the neighbours then just start shouting under your breath 'c'mon, c'mon'. It's great.

I do resent having to work tommorow though:lol:

I know for a fact I'd take the same position if I was American. The situation is grotesque in the states - fights you'd barely bother watching are ppv and fights you wanna watch are prices you can barely bare to pay. The worst thing is the US is the beating heart of boxing and it must be having a big time effect on it's popularity there. God knows if the likes of Joe Calzaghe, Mikkel Kessler and Wlad Klitchko are the best I have to watch in 10 years the sport will be dead to me.

Anyway, fortunately PPvs are extraordinarily rare here and only cost 15 quid when they do come around. Probably like the US was 15 years ago.
