Not trying to take away from his glory here. Just wondering.

Manny has been Ko'd twice early in his professional carreer to guys that went on to be lackluster careers. How exactly do the people ranking Manny greatest or at the tops all time compare him with fighters that were never Ko'd in a professional bout or Ko'd by guys who were at the top of their divisions and in their prime.

It's obvious that he lost because he could not make weight. His chin is proven. Alexis Arguello lost his first fight or one of his early fights and was an atg.

Hopkins lost to some bum(well bad example because Hopkins did lose to every single ATG he ever fought).

If he beats Mayweather, he is the greatest of all time or one of the top 2 or 3.

Plus, he is a different fighter.Manny is 50 times the fighter he was 3 or 4 years ago.

Well Billy Graham had 126 fights, fought a slew of HOF'ers and Champions and was never even knocked down let alone knocked out.

He's a borderline HOF'er himself but nobody mistakes him for one of the greatest.

Henry Armstrong was knocked out by a nobody in his very first fight and lost 3 of his first 4. He's easily a top 5 All-time lb for lb'er.

Not that I don't think people are getting carried away with this Manny is GOAT talk. Hatton has been made to look stupid by several guys in the last couple years.

Manny was poor as shit early in his career and barely had money to eat and was a little kid. Them losses really mean shit.

when you are a malnourished 17 yr old with 2 years of total experience, dying t make weight and you are stopped by a body shot...no i dnt think it ruins his ranking..

    makes it even better.

Manny Pac is top 30 all time IMO...

I domination or just a regular tough victory over Mayweather,Mosley,Cotto..at or around 140-147 would be HUGEEEEE...that will make him the greatest fighters since Duran....maybe even greater...

Manny can legitimately claim he was the BEST in 4 divisions (112, 126, 130, 140). If you throw 122, and 135 into the mix, he is a 6 division champion that has fought over a 10 division span.

In his past 4 fights, he's fought across 4 divisions, winning all of his bouts.

Manny has a legitimate claim to being an ATG, not many old-timers were able to accomplish what Manny Pacquiao has, and his career still has a ways to go.

Manny is going to be an all time great. All he's doing now is cementing higher and higher positions on that list. He's not the greatest of all time yet but he does have the opponents available that could put him there.

I wouldn't say he's the GOAT, but he really is on the road to becoming one if the takes on the dudes at 147.

    Morales
    Barrera
    Marquez
    Hatton
    Oscar

Those are guys who will make it to the HOF, and Pacquiao beat em all.

The winner of Pacquiao-Mayweather would be no doubt the fighter of decade and a top 15 all time lock.

Manny is on a serious roll, what he is doing is just amazing. GOAT? Don't think so, not yet anyway. He is definitely a GREAT fighter though. No doubt about that. I'd rank him higher than Mayweather that is for sure. He's fought and beat the two biggest guys Mayweather ever fought and did it far more convincingly. This little fucker started his career at 106 freaking pounds. That is just crazy.

Yup Pac is higher than Mayweather...you include Pac destruction/victories over the other great fighters like Marquez,MAB,Morales....it takes him to a higher level than Mayweather...

Mayweather can catch up/surpass Pacquiao by beating him...and beating one of the top welterweights..Cotto/Mosley..but he has to have the balls to fight them first...

I don't know where I rank Manny, but he's an all-time great. The problem is that he beat great guys at the tail end of their career. He never faced them in their prime.

When he faced Morales and what was left if this great fighter HE LOST pretty clearly. He basically beat the remainders of Morales.

I give him all credit for beating Barrera, although he was also removed from his prime.

Marquez is also at the tail end of his career, but in both fights an arguement can be made that he actually lost.

So to me I think he needs to either beat Mayweather or needs to fight another young gun in their prime to make his case. I would also be in favor of a third match with Marquez to clear that mess up.

and if he beat Mayweather...he just defeated a guy that came out of a 1 year retirement and who was 32 years old....and pass his prime...all BS...

Pacquiao moved up along the years from 112..122...126...130...135...147...back to 140...defeated excellent competition...defeating great fighters in MAB, Morales, Marquez, DLH, Hatton...and he went to their divisions to beat them...except for Pollo who killed himself to make 147...he fought Hatton at 140...he wasn't a bitch like Mayweather and made Hatton moved up...he went to 140 made the weight and kicked ass...

My point was that I thought, as well as a few others did, that people were getting carried away with their rankings. I personally know you won't get a rational response from AM because pac is his hero. Pac is everything AM always wanted to be but couldn't because of his thyroid problem.
