Manny has yet to beat a slick black fighter...and leho lebabawaba don't count.

Duran, Chavez and their ilk all passed this test. I always held it against Morales now I'm holding it against Manny.

If he beats Mayweather though who is the epitome of the highest level of soulbrotha boxing I will announce to everyone who'll listen that Pac is the greatest fighter I've ever had the pleasure of seeing fight.

well, in fairness, what great slick-boxing brotha was there for him to fight during the past few years??

    outside of Mayweather, who?

you dont traditionally find a lot of black american fighters between 122 and 130... Americans are usually bigger than that

and from 130-140, there arent too many good black fighters right now

Exactly thats why the Mayweather fight has to happen. It will launch Pac's already stacked resume into the stratosphere assuming he wins.

He got floyd and mosley, he can choose now.

Sad thing is it has to come WAY beyond his beat weight.

how do you know what his best weight is? He's getting older and his frame is supporting his muscle fine.

yeah manny was asked about this at a recent interview, and he explained it with a quote from the movie full metal jacket: "no boom boom with soul brutha. soul brutha too beaucoup, too beacoup."

Ledwaba is slicker than a lot of Afro-American fighters.

Derrick Gainer. Manny has been shamelessly ducking the guy for years.

Pacquiao can fight Bradley at 140....but serious Manny Pac is beyond that type of fight...he can't be bother w/ such fights..

It should be all...Mayweather, Mosley, Cotto....from now on..maybe a Trilogy vs. Marquez if he isn't to damage after the Mayweather beating...

Seriously though, why doesn't he count?

Sure he's not on Floyd's level but he IS a slick black fighter if nothing else.

Manny was supposed to be an "opponent" and beat the absolute shit out of him.

    why doesn't Ledwaba count?

and how is JMM not slick, if not black?

do you mean a fighter who's going to throw one shot at a time like a pussy and then tie up anytime he gets close or needs a rest? because if JMM is not slick just because he's not black, then i have to assume you're referring to a specific type of slickness.

Is there any doubt Pacquiao wouldn't destroy Bradley? Or Holt? Do those guys qualify?

I think it's kind of a racist topic. First, it implies that you can't be slick unless you're black. And then it suggests there's a brand of slickness, not a positive one as far as I can tell, among all, "slick black fighters."

Judah is slick. You think he'd have a shot at Pacquiao? Hell no. But SRL certainly would.

I get what you're trying to say but I think you're generalizing to the point of obscuring what it is you're really trying to say.

And why the hell does Ldwaba not count? The only reason he was on HBO was because he had dazzled everyone in his previous fight by completely befuddling and out-slicking his opponent.

PBF's never beaten a left-hande Phillipino. That's about as significant or relevant as your post is.

Mosley is a brave fighter with a throw-back mentality, but he's not slick.

Lebawaba doesn't count because he's an african fighter and i'm talking about a slick African American fighter with pedigree and accomplishments.

Why are all you queers acting like you don't know what I'm talking about?

I would say the same thing about Floyd, Pernell, or Leonard if they never met the tough skilled hispanic fighter smell test.

    How was Ledwaba not accomplished??

he'd made 5 defenses and was considered world-class, some even said he would potentially be great

You're obviously blinded by Pacquiao's testicles if you deny Manny has ducked flippity flooppy fighters.

for a guy to be fighting at a high level in the united states for 8 years and never face an african american fighter it is somewhat odd. what it says is that pacquaio has basically been fighting guys who were made to order, style wise.

ledwaba is not very athletic and has slow feet. roach noticed this immediately when he saw tapes of ledwaba before the fight.
