Cold hands? Should I be worried?

Last night I was with Jenn in bed, and we were chatting about a vacation we might go on in the Summer.

Anyway I grabbed her hand and it was pretty cold. I'm guessing it felt like it was a good 10 degrees cooler than my own hands so I felt it immediately.

The thing is, this is something I've noticed in the past few months, maybe longer. Is this a sign of bad circulation, or another medical condition? I didn't notice it until recently, definitely within the past 6 months. It's bothering me to the point I'm probably just going to force her to go to the doctor for a checkup because it's worrying me.

Anyone experience this with their wives, friends, family?

The doctor is your best bet. Whenever you have a gut feeling that something is wrong, you should always go with your gut and get a check up. She may be suffering from reduced blood flow to the hands which is called Raynaud's phenomenon. It's a disorder of small blood vessels of the extremities, causing the coldness. In simpler terms, blood vessel constriction. Check her blood pressure and heart. Better yet, go to the doctor and get her checked on immediately. Don't wait.

 

Can also be related to the heart and blood, hence the check up. Best to get the check up. Go to a walk in clinic. They'll figure it out immediately I think with a few simple tests.
