Should have made this a public poll. Assuming that Floyd is the same as the guy that retired, then I think he'll win. Possibly by KO. I'll withold my actual pick until we see how the JMM fight plays out. Speaking of which, does Manny face someone in the meantime?
Arum says Pacquiao is fighting Cotto in November, and not Mayweather. It could just be a negotiating tactic though.
Assume that he does. If Floyd is still in boxing and beats JMM (and someone else if Pac fights Cotto), this fight is still relevant and possibly even bigger than it is now.
hbo won't be pleased with this, I doubt pacquaio will either when he hears the purse disparities. then again, is pacquaio allowed to fight african americans?
Pacquaio: "I will do my best to make people happy. Nothing PERSONAL for me. I'm just doing my job. I'm just fighter, have more techniques, training." He also enjoyed Mayweather's Sr. pre-fight presser.
One thing is certain: They are the most ACCURATE sharp shooters in the sport. Pacquaio and Mayweather. They could sit looking at the eye of a hurricane coming at them, be steady and pick people apart.
Arum is talking about Pacquiao vs. Cotto...and since Cotto might be leaving Top Rank for G..because of Arum defending Margarito...ARUM might want to cash out Cotto...he probably think Manny Pacquiao would destroy Cotto the way he did Hatton...SO WE might see it...artie: but then the WORLD won't see Mayweather vs. Pacquiao...:stir:
You're wrong. Floyd certainly THINKS fast, he knows exactly what he is doing in there, and how to control his opponent, where to move next, what to throw next etc. But if we're talking purely physical speed, Pacman is significantly faster of hand and foot, and if they fight, you'll see.
Floyd's movement is great, very precise, very economical, always has good balance, etc etc. But Pac's raw footspeed is insane. He can zip around the ring like an animal.
