JMM is good! he whupped Pac once so you can't call him a bum i dont wanna here it when FLoyd knocks his ass out
He can make 140. Its nothing more then ego. Marquez called out Floyd so Floyd should get to choose everything.
No A case could be made for a close win for either guy, but I thought JMM won by a point and there is no way on earth Pac won 'clearly'. MTF :dunno:
Manny won two clear decisions against Marquez and was robbed of one by being given a draw in the first match. JMM is good but he's older now, and getting hit more. Floyd is going to destroy Marquez and shock a lot of people.
then he will follow it up by destroying Pacquiao shattering your dreams and stop your travel to the boxing section of this board...
You guys are such haters it's sickening. Floyd can't do nothing right. I really don't know why i try. Pac beats the same guys Floyd beats and hes the Goat. Floyds a scared bitch for fighting them.
Hmmmmm....if Floyd beats JMM easily, I wonder how long it will be before we have to hear that JMM was "ruined" by Pac and was therefore faded or shot for the Mayweather fight.
Hmmmmmmmmm......I wonder if Floyd beats JMM easily it will be because JMM who spent most of his career fighting at 126 will be taking on the supposedly best 147 pounder in the world. The fact of the matter is, the only thing PBF stands to gain from this fight is money and the high probability of retaining his undefeated record (which wouldn't be the case if he fought actual welter-weight contenders). If he loses, he lost to a feather-weight and although he'll have his recent retirement to blame, his legacy will nearly diminish. If he wins, it won't mean shit because he will have defeated a featherweight, fighting four weight classes above, and is long in the tooth. For as much gambling as PBF does outside the ring, he sure is conservative when it comes to the opponents he picks. And yet, somehow, at least half of the people on this board, seem to think he's unbeatable? ::
Holy shit, you've got to be kidding? What have those guys done in the last year or 2 that beats Marquez KOing Casamayor, Diaz, and having a razor close fight with Pacman that many people thought he won? Utter nonsense. Darchinyan and Cotto and Kessler :: :: Marquez has accomplished more than all of them except Pacman in the last year or 2.
Marquez isn't overrated and dawson beat johnson handily. Johnson can whine all he wants but he didn't win that fight.
Personally I would prefer to have seen Marquez against Guzman (if he could be called a lw), Valero, Katsidis, maybe Khan etc. even though they may have been not box office enough for him at this point, Mayweather is bigger and more importantly more experienced at the weight, while Marquez is even reaching at LW IMO, its only because his talent compensates that he can compete so well...I can't see those fights happening after the Mayweather loss, he's close enough to finishing up as it is...
You're such a tool. So now Floyd is this huge Welter and JMM the poor Featherweight. In reality (A complex term for you) Marquez and Floyd fought from 1996-2001 4 lbs apart. That is, the divisions they have fought most of their careers. Now JMM is coming of KO two legit Lightweights who had never been KO'ed before, has never been defeated convincingly including by the P4P best fighter in your opinion and someone you PICK to beat Floyd, yet Floyd has nothing to win, right? Floyd comes back after 2 years of retirement to fight one of the top 3 P4P fighters coming of perhaps his biggest win ever. It's a testament of Floyd's inmense unlikeable character as well as his magnificent talent.
:::: Mayweather could have use his magnificent talent and face Shane Mosley or Miguel Cotto at 147 for his comeback fight if he believe in himself that much...both who are top 10 P4P fighters...
Maybe next Pavlik challenges Manny Pacquiao to a fight......prove how awesome he really is.... Maybe Chad Dawson might prove his P4P status by fighting Mosley at catch weight of 170.,...... artie: Cotto should fight Darchin at a catch weight of 143,....:mj:
I hope you are not trying to infer that I am in any way a Mayweather fan. Because that is :laughing:. As far as boxing goes...few things would make me happier than seeing Mayweather's yap being shut for good. But...it's ok for Mayweather to fight Pacquiao, who also has spent the majority of his career at lower weights but not JMM who has proven to be nearly, if not entirely, Pacquiao's equal and has now had success at higher weights? That sounds kind of selective to me. Mayweather isn't a career Welter. He also spent a good chunk of his career at lower weights. In a little over one year in his last 3 fights...JMM has lost a debatable decision to Superman himself in Pacquaio and then stopped two good fighters at 135 in Casamayor and Diaz. It doesn't seem like he is fading to me. So if he loses to Mayweather, it won't be because he was "ruined", "Shot" or "faded".
Did you not watch the casa and diaz fights? Marquez has slipped. He got the wins, but he is not the guy he used to be. Whether that's because he is outside of his weight class or he's getting old, doesn't matter. It does matter to p4p rankings.
Why? To make you happy? Mosley had his chance and didn't take the fight to please his boss. Cotto for years avoided the fight and now he's not nearly as much in the hot seat as JMM after getting pounded by Margarito. Floyd beats JMM and he's in collision to fight Manny in the fight of the Century. Makes sense.
