Corrales...that was one of the last times Mayweather proved himself..he did it again by rematching Castillo...but after that hes been cherry picking his opponents...

Weird...Mayweather says he is too big for Pac and Marquez....maybe he also thinks he is too small to deal with the top Welter of his time...

Mayweather is such a dumb ass..he says shit like "they are tooo small for me"..then if he beat Marquez...he will drop to the floor and cry like a bitch over it.....ala Gatti fight..."he is bum not in my level"..then cry your fucking eyes out like u just finish beating a prime Duran...or something...

Well thanks Floyd for making it clear why you're facing Marquez.

Some more choice quotes from the same segment:

More Floyd Snr. in reference to the Pacquiao-Hatton bout:
Interestingly enough, bookies have already put odds on a potential Pac-Mayweather fight.

Floyd is an idiot. This is the same shit he did in the Gatti fight, if anyone was going to give him credit for that he ruined it by calling him a C level fighter. Now he will have only beaten a "small guy" when he beats JMM.

It's hard to understand how someone can be so brilliant in a ring and so damn stupid outside of it. It looks like Floyd breaks his head thinking what line to drop on his next Press Conference which would make fans and critics give him the least possible respect.

Not only that. Floyd will realize soon that what he said about "Skills pay the Bills" is true. But this time it won't be in reference to him.

What Floyd is Doing is Letting Everyone Know WHY He Can't See JM Marquez or Manny Pac Beating him...Just as he Thought Gatti COULDN'T Beat him Because he was a "C-Level Fighter"...That's how Floyd REALLY Feels...

When Floyd CRIED After the Gatti Fight, it was Because He Scored an Impressive, 1-Sided KO in his 1st PPV Main Event...NOT Because he had just Beaten the "Great" Arturo Gatti...

Floyd always puts down his opponents like that. That's him convicing himself that he's better. I don't read much into that. Seems like floyd haters are worse than his fans here.

Floyd isn't the brightest guy out there, but actually I do hear quite a bit of "he's too small for me" before a fight. Fighters (and trainers) will point out their advantages, which is often size, and talk about how it's a reason they will win.

I have the Ring's 20th anniversary issue of Hagler-Hearns (http://static.boxrec.com/wiki/0/0d/RING.2005.VolumeIV.jpg), and before it, they interview the trainers. Petronelli kept saying "Hagler is a true middleweight, Hearns is not, Hagler is naturally bigger and more suited for 160, etc....". Hatton kept saying before fighting Pacquiao that his size and experience at 140 would be too much for Pacquiao. Mayweather told Hatton he was "too small".

I don't think fighters, at least before the fight, care too much about people saying the win will count less because their opponent is smaller.

They're too busy trying to boost their own confidence or belittle their opponent's.

    Yep...

& Even when Fighters COMPLIMENT Their Opponents ("He's a GOOD Fighter...") During the Pre-Fight Period, it's ALWAYS a BUT in there Somewhere ("...BUT he's Not on MY Level.")...

It's kind of sad that Floyd is even still fighting.

He doesn't represent the hopes of a nation. He's not a national hero. He doesn't have the burden of many other fighters. He could've walked away and enjoyed the last 50-60 years of his life.

But he threw it all away spending unwisely, and trying to live a lifestyle based on vanity instead of virtue. Now he's fighting just to pay the bills, and the memories of throwing $30,000 into a crowd of birthday party attendees who care nothing for him are long gone.

    Poor, poor Floyd.

    LOL.

It's great for boxing he came back. He's got plenty of big fights. If he beats JMM, Pacquiao and a Mosley he will be truly one of the best ever and by the same token if JMM or Manny beat him they will be elevated to all-time great status.

Beating up on two smaller men and a man with one foot in the boxing grave doesn't make you great. He should do what Pacquiao is doing.

    Pretty much.

The simple fact that Pacquiao-Mayweather is even CONSIDERED a viable fight now is more a testament to Manny's ability and will to transcend weight classes, and take the best challenges offered to him.

It's the equivalent of Floyd jumping up say 6 years ago, and beating Hopkins, then wanting to jump up and fight a prime Roy Jones Jr.

    :dunno:

The PROBLEM Is, U'll Argue BOTH Sides of the Coin...If for Some Reason Floyd DOESN'T Fight Manny Pac, YOU'LL B 1 of those Saying Floyd "Ducked" Him...But if/when Floyd BEATS him, U'll Simply Play the "Size" Card...

Congratulations, U've PERFECTLY Positioned Yourself to COMPLAIN about Floyd Mayweather while NEVER Giving him Even a Modicum of Credit...U & Double L Should Form a SUPPORT Group...

Manny is already at ATG status. They are very few old-timers than can match his accomplishments NOW, and he's got a ways to go.

I remember poor James Shuler saying he was going to beat Hearns because Hearns was really a 154 lb fighter trying to move up to a "Man's Division".

Ummm...are you saying beating Ricky Hatton is the same as beating Bernard Hopkins? I know you like to hump Manny's leg and all that...but I think you're reaching a bit here.

Ricky was the consensus #1 at his weight class.

Hopkins was the consensus #1 at his weight class.

How is that reaching? You're just stupid, and wrong and by admission only know about Hispanic fighters.
