After careful consideration I've decided that I will be selling the site to Steve_Dave. I think he has good, fresh ideas for the site and he is ready to dedicate the time and energy to make FightBeat one of the best websites around. Sure he's Canadian, which basically means he's probably a prick, but give him a chance. LOL just kidding. More details to come regarding the change of ownership. However, I do intend to help provide coverage and do whatever I can to help things go over smoothly. Thanks again for your patience and I look forward to becoming a regular forum member too. Regards, Carlos "Cupey" Guzman
Cupe.. are you still gonna really be around? I'll miss our many late night talks about anything and everything meaningful in life
This site should've been called DeadBeat seeing how slow sh*t was moving. Good on steve to step up! I didn't even know steve had the funds to pay for this site. I recall him saying he was broke.
Steve bailed us out and we should be thankful. Steve, can you handle the funds needed in running the site?
What can I say, this is an exciting time. For whatever reason, I love this place. When everything is finalized you guys will have a better idea of the direction. Godfather, myself and the mod team have been running this forum for a few years so no changes on that front. When it comes down to it, I won't sit back and watch this place die. Won't happen.
Congrats fellas - Nobody wanted this place to hit the wall. Now can we ban Cupey and get on with it :: Only kidding Viva la Fightbeat artie:
steve dave has always been a nice guy; but absolute power corrupts absolutely, so expect him to become a bloated perverted despot quite soon, using his ownership to gain sexual favours, unexplained bannings, etc. a period of Canadian Terror will shortly ensue, no doubt. watch out puerto rican posters.
steve is going to assign new moderators here and he's going to eliminate welchers permanently. A new law has passed and that's steve dave's law!!!! :bears:
The only new mods will be Canadian. The existing mod's positions will be grandfathered in if they pass a Canadian citizenship test.
Man i hate taking that tests. I always get the first questions wrong: 1. How many aye's are there in a typical Canadian Sentence? Can any of you Canucks let me know? :dunno:
I don't say "eh", I say "by". People from Newfoundland speak differently than other Canadians. Like, if I were to say hello to you it would be something like... "What are you at by Godfather?" Or "What's on the go by?"
