Yes most of them are freak shows, yes most matches wouldn't be approved in the States or, matter of fact, anywhere there's a decent athletic commission, and yes it is that fucking amazing. But let's list some fighters who would be a splendid additions to the tournament. 1- Kimbo Slice : With his MMA career in the gutter due to his one legged slap ko he suffered to Petruzelli, Slice has to do something big to keep himself in the spotlight. And what would be bigger than conquering the biggest fighting men alive and winning the Super Hulk tournament. Slice stand up is explosive enough to keep things interesting vs most of these guy's even if he would be a very serious underdog vs most. 2 - Butterbean : For those who doesn't know, he fought a lot of MMA fights and got some very decents win under his ledger. Already lost to one of the David of the tournament ( Minowaman ) but with his punches would be a threat and fun to watch. Edit : ON futher review, he is so past his best that he may be part of the just missing the cut list. 3 - James Thompson : As shown in his last fight vs Jim York, Thmopson chin is way too unreliable for him to become a serious contender ''again''. After surviving an early bumrush was in total command and appearing on his way to victory before running in a slow, soft left hand and crumbling to the canvas. But he still his an entertainer and could pull an upset or two along the way. 4 - Pat Smith : Who can be better at freakbusting than a guy who was part of the original UFC were supersized bouncer and failed semi-pro hockey player were the norm. And in his recent 30 seconds win over 6'7 260lbs TUF finalist Brad Imes and Butterbean, 44 years old Smith shows that he still knows how to deal with oversized jokers. Would be a sweet addition in the camp of the Davids, as he would be representing old school MMA as he is one of the first true OG of MMA. Oh, best of all is that he's a child molester, as if you would need more awesomeness from him, as now he could fit the role of the old dirty bastard to a T. 5 - VIachsalv Datsik : <embed id="VideoPlayback" src="http://video.google.ca/googleplayer.swf?docid=-2683676985587295275&hl=fr&fs=true" style="width:400px;height:326px" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"> </embed> Probably the weirdest MMA fighter ever. And he holds a ko ( knocked him out cold ) win over Andrei Arlovsky in what was the pro debut of both man. MUst be pretty humialting to be laid the fuck out by a retard. Just missing the cut : Akebona, Sean O hair, Giant Silva and Zululu, all amazing freaks but Super Hulk tournament required a slightly better record and pedigree than thoe guy's posses.
6 - Kyle Maynard : For those who don't know, he's the legless armless guy who fought in MMA last month. Was once something like the fourth best US wrestler of his age group ( around his weight of course ) so the pedigree is here. At about 120lbs, would be the smallest fighter by far, and without arms or legs, would face unique hindrance on his way to the championship. But it's a position he's used too and with heart and desire, anything is possible. 7 - Tym Silvia : With his career going nowhere ( he's fighting Ray Mercer in a boxing match for fuck sake ), Silvya could revitalize his career by winning the tournament. Would obviously be one if not the favorite. With his size and look ( he looks like an orc and should market himself as such ) would definitively feel at home
Love the videoartie: Just had my 10 year old son watch it, he loved it! Kimbo should have definitely been matched in this against Sapp, that is honestly a fight that needs to happen. Choi should've been matched against Giant Silva it would have been fun to watch as well. Since Kimo is probably not available I might have mentioned Bam Bam Bigelo. He would have added to the freak show.
If Bigelow were in the tournament he'd definitely win it. I mean, if he is skilled enough to rise from the dead to fight in an MMA tournament, you know he's got the skills to win the damn thing. TFK
Honestly, I think it's Canseco ( and I couldn't even name 1 team for wich he played for, that's how much I care about baseball ) who makes this tournament epic.
