they wanted to weaken him? uh, maybe pac's team weight stipulation has something to do with the fact that Pacquiao is in the process of moving up three weight classes in less than a year and is probably a natural super feather-weight, if not a feather-weight.

it doesn't matter anyways. Cotto is way too slow to beat Pacquiao. If you think ODH looked befuddled against Pacquiao, wait until you see Cotto fight him.

Too slow? Why don't you ask Mosley or Judah if Cotto is too slow.:notallthere:

Aand please don't bring up the Delahoya fight. We all know he was a dead man walking that night. He had nothing left making the 147 limit.

Yeah, seriously. Why should the welterweight champion of the world have to move down for Ricky Hatton?

I guess Floyd is too skillful for a big MMA fan.

That's news to me. Hatton wanted to fight at a weight he's not good at? I seriously doubt you can prove that one. You're the first person I've ever heard say that. Floyd was in no place to make demands to Dela.

He's also making little ass marquez come to 147. Why doesn't he fight a guy who has fought there before?

Your bias is just funny to me REED. You're as transparent as they come buddy.

Why would the welterweight champion of the world not fight a welterweight? That's the real question here. As if Hatton was the best available guy at the time.

What does MMA have to do with this?

It's amazing really that this fight is being considered. Even 2 years ago, everyone would've thought it was a Mythical Matchup.

Hatton Got the Best of BOTH Worlds, Z...Hatton Wanted to Challenge the Lb for Lb King for HIS Welter Title while KNOWING he'd MAINTAIN his OWN Jr. Welter Title if he Lost...

Floyd Isn't "Making" Marquez Do Shit, just as Dela Didn't "Make" Floyd do Shit...But in YOUR Infiinite BIAS, U're just Glossing Right Over That...Call REED "Transparent" or Whatever U Like, but REED is ALOT more OBJECTIVE when it Comes to Floyd Mayweather than YOU R...

Cotto is absolutely correcy. And as far as I'm concerned Cotto shouldn't fight below 147. Hell if a smaller fighter wants to fight the bigger guy Marquez/Mayweather Manny/Cotto then the smaller guy needs to do what he needs to do to compete at the higher weight class. Damn all this catchweight bullshit. And why are so many people busting PBF's chops. Marquez is the one that wants this fight so he's the one that needs to go where PBF is. And people act like PBF is the only fighter to make a smaller guy move up in weight. If the weight is an issue then the smaller guy shouldn't take the fight. I'll Holla 5000

People are acting like Pacquiao has actually taken a catchweight fight. The guy jumped two divisions for Dela Hoya.

The only guys doing a catchweight fight are Fraud and Fagquez.

You guys are stupid fucking idiots.

Couple questions. How did Many jump 2 weight divisons to fight DLH? Didn't Manny fight Diaz at 140 prior to the DLH fight? My last question regarding catchweight. Now if Manny fought at 140 & DLH fought at 154. They both agreed to fight at 147 which is a weight between their perspective weight classes that they were fighting at. Is it safe to say that they fought at a catchweight due to them not fighting at either one of their classes? I'll Holla 5000

Technically U're Right, but Let's NOT Pretend that Pac DIDN'T Make Dela MOVE DOWN to a Weight he HADN'T Fought @ in Nearly a DECADE...

REED, I'm trying to be peaceful with you so I won't troll attack you.

But seriously, Pacquiao bent over backwards to satisfy Dela Hoya's demands, not the other way around. Dela Hoya is the one who set the division where the fight would take place. DLH made Manny jump TWO divisions, not the other way around. DLH just underestimated Pacquiao's ability to maintain his speed and power through divisions. Quite simple.

But the Fact REMAINS, Manny Had Dela MOVE DOWN to a Weight Class that Dela HADN'T Fought @ in Nearly a DECADE...Whether it was JUSTIFIED of NOT, it's the TRUTH...

No you don't get it. Dela Hoya set the terms of the fight. Manny didn't set any terms. DLH said "These are the terms" and Manny had to sign or not. He did because of all the cash he would make, but the real truth is DLH determined every aspect of where this fight would take place.

GOOD..for Cotto. Don't weaken yourself for the $$$$. If you have the balls to fight anybody like Mosley/Cotto/Pacquiao you won't starve at/or around 140.

    That's NOT Entirely True...

When Dela INITIALLY Presented Terms to Manny, Manny BALKED @ the Contracted WEIGHT & SPLIT...That's a FACT...Manny DID NOT just Settle for Whatever Terms Dela Presented to him:nono:...He SENT Dela BACK to the Drawing Board to Come Up w/More SUITABLE Terms...
