bing!...once i read the title i guessed it'd be Kimbo....then the slowness of the site in opening the thread added to the suspense. Maybe that is how fightbeat can surivive.....with teasing thread titles!

I'm curious also to see if they go for any ex-pro wrestlers

REED's ALREADY Been Watching the Last 3-4 Seasons, but on a LARGER Scale, this Should Attract Quite a Few MORE African-American Fans to TUF & the UFC in General...Rampage is GHETTO, but N an APPEALING Way...Rashad is Sort of a Psuedo Uppity Brother & Even Though Kimbo LOOKS Ghetto, he's Actually a Laid Back Dude....

REED Might Actually Record & SAVE this Season...

This will be the Biggest Blackest TUF Ever!

All kidding aside, you just gotta wonder how Evans and Rampage's personality are gonna mesh with Kimbo.

Alot Depends on the Level of RESPECT Rampage & Rashad have for Kimbo as a Fighter AND How WILLING Kimbo is to B TAUGHT by them...Personally, REED Thinks Kimbo will B FINE...REED's Seen some Behind the Scenes Stuff on Kimbo & he's ALOT More Laid Back, Humble & Approachable than he LOOKS or SEEMS....

If Kimbo is On Rampage's Team, it'll B HILARIOUS....Someone May Need to Dig Up Barbara Billingsley to TRANSLATE All the "Jive" that they'll Talk...REED'll GLADLY Step Up to Assist his Fightbeat Brothers in that Same Regard....

If Kimbo is On Rashad's Team, then REED Thinks he'll Feel the BRUNT of Rampage's Jokes MORE than Rashad Would...The REAL Issue for Kimbo is How he'll B Treated by the Guys he'll B Sharing the House w/...ESPECIALLY when they're DRINKING...

There are interviews with Kimbo on youtube where he says he looks up to Rampage. Rampage said he is a fan of Kimbo and likes him.

Slice got caught with a shot he didn't see....and now everyone believes he is complete shit.

The guy never should have faced an experienced guy like Petruzelli at the last minute.......and I mean LAST minute.

It's not as if Petruzelli is a tomato can. He lasted 3 competitive rounds with Hamil.....and beat Severn, a thing that is still no cake thing to do.

I always said that even at his advanced age.....if Ferguson worked on his cardio and took it slow and learned some submission offense and defense...he could make noise in MMA simply because the Heavyweight division is not that deep.

I still think he can based on his natural athletic ability... a thing that alot of top tier fighters don't possess much of. Hell, look at Kenny Florian.

Kimbo would learn more from Rashad's team.

    Not a chance.

First of all. The punch that "he didn't see" was a jab that was delivered as Seth was backing up. The first meaningful punch that Seth threw. Hell, I have even seen Kimbo dropped in one of his backyard brawl videos.

The "last minute" situation did suck for Kimbo. However. Seth clearly went into the fight with an agreement that he would keep it standing. Definately to Kimbo's advantage. AND HE STILL GOT KTFO!!

And lets not act as if Serth is some world beater. Because he clearly isn't.

Ever since Kimbo lost to Sedth I have heard even more stories about Kimbo that tell me that he will never amount to anything in the cage. Such as confirmation of the sparring session KO to Forrest and the fact that he is a heavy smoker! This paired with his advanced age, total lack of ground game, and shaky chin tell me not to get my hopes up.

I do like Kimbo. He has always seemed like a class act every time I see him interviewed. However, I just dont think that he has the tools.

If his fellow competitors on TUF are anything like all previous seasons, Kimbo should scare a few and just be able to beat some others. He will be competitive; probably won't win it all; but remain popular.

Meanwhile, Spike, Dana White and MMA get a nice little boost in popularity.

    It's all good.

He has the standup skills. His chin MIGHT not be great, but neither is Arlovski's. I think his ground game needs work, but with the proper training, he can be competative.

Kimbo just ain't a real warrior. He ain't doing sh*t in MMA. His whole career has been carefully managed to date. It's like Michael Grant in boxing. There's no place in the UFC for Kimbo's old ass.

MMA is all about surviving a shot you don't see coming. That's how the real fighters are seperated from the pretenders. In Kimbo's case, the first legit jab he took, he froze and fell. There's no hope for Kimbo. They're gonna have to set up his fights to maximize profits.

Kimbo may be shit but there is no reason at all to question his heart, he showed plenty of heart in his win vs Thompson

As much shit as I have talked about Kimbo and his lack of skills, the Seth P. fight I really dont think Kimbo was really rocked by the shot. I don't think it was how solid the shot was and I don't think Kimbo has a glass chin. The shot looked like it poked him in the eye. Just look as his eye after that fight, it was fucked up immediately after. I think the real issue is not his chin but how he reacted to being hurt, he just looked like he didn't know what to do.

But Kimbo Fell like he'd Been SHOT, Z...It's NOT Like he Reached for his Eye, Covered his Face or Anything...He FELL Like a Chopped Down Tree & Got Pounded Out w/Out even TRYING to Defend Himself...

& it's the QUALITY of the Punch that's Most Disturbing...Elite XC Matched Kimbo w/a SMALLER Guy (Wasn't Petruzelli Scheduled for a LIGHT heavy Fight that Night???), that Caught him w/a DEFENSIVE Jab (Off of 1 Foot) that had Very Little Leverage on It...Put it this Way, Petruzelli COULD have Gotten ALOT More Leverage on that Shot...

Kimbo lost the second Shamrock backed out of the fight. He had prepared for Shamrock, and when things changed at the last minute, he had no idea how to handle it. It was obvious Kimbo did not want to fight that night, and it showed in his performance.

Is Kimbo a legit top MMA fighter? Of course not. But I don't think he's as bad as he looked in the Petruzelli fight either.

I just can't believe his chin is that bad. Kimbo was lunging in with a right hand when he got "caught" by that jab too and fell to his knees. It wasn't like he fell flat on his face out cold. I just watched it a bunch of times. I swear he poked his eye. I'm not saying Kimbo is good, I'm sure you have seen my opinion on Kimbo posted here many times.

    I'm just saying.

REED Wears his MMA Infancy on his SLEEVES & Having Said that, REED has NEVER Seen a Guy Put on the BRINK of KO by a Shot as Seemingly INCONSEQUENTIAL as that 1 was...

When a Guy Gets Poked in the Guy, there's an Immediate & OBVIOUS Reaction to it 9.9 Times Out of 10...Kimbo NEVER Exhibited the Qualities of a Cat that Get Poked N the Eye (N REED's Opinion)...He Fell like he was Genuinely HURT, was QUICKLY Pounded into Submission & Again, Considering the QUALITY of the Initial Punch, it was All VERY Disappointing...

Not that REED had Expectations of Kimbo, but To See him FLAME OUT from a Shot like That was Disappointing...Shit, Kimbo SINGLE HANDEDLY Led to the CRUMBLING of Elite XC....

I can't find it, but if you can find the interview with Kimbo done moments before the fight, you could tell he didn't want to fight, and he had no idea what to do. Plus, it's been reported that he tried to back out, but there was so much money at stake with it being on CBS, and the only reason he fought was because they paid him a lot more than what was originally agreed upon.

I'm gonna keep looking for that interview.

It's hilarious to me that a guy who hates Fedor is so much on Kimbo's jock! Come on TFK. You've spent most of your life on this board disrespecting a legit and true MMA warrior like Fedor while wanting to suck off that lame ass no talent no chin chump Kimbo.
You're not even a real MMA fan. you're like that guy in the video with the "Just Bleed" painted on his forehead.

Exactly. Kimbo doesn't have a warrior's mentality. He's like the big schoolyard bully who freezes when the smaller kid fights back. Kimbo's career in MMA is dead. He ain't gonna amount to sh*t.
