Damn. Most awaited heavyweight showdown in years pissed away.

The rumour was that Kali Meehan (whom I met in Helsinki last weekend) had floored Haye in sparring. But maybe Haye just slipped and injured his hand falling

They are looking at Valuev, Chagaev or Chambers as potential replacements. Maybe these big bums can do something good for the sport like Lennox and Vitali did many years ago, when they put together the last meaningful heavyweight fight on two weeks notice.

What a LETDOWN...REED Won't Question the LEGITIMACY of the Injury, but when a Guy Talks as Much SHIT as Haye Does, it DOUBLES the Dissappointment when he Pulls Ouf of a Fight...

I'm not saying I'd bother watching the fight.....I was just surveying the barren landscape and spotting a malnourished rabbit to spear.

For sure, that will cover some of it but I'd made some other bookings on the basis of it while I was there, no big deal though.

Chagaev is an obvious possibility, fight would be dull enough though

Valuev would be worth seeing, just for the spectacle

Possibly a Brit to keep some of those who bought tickets and are travelling, happy? Martin Rogan? Matt Skelton?

gutted....hopefully they can get it on later in the year, but Wlad may feel that Haye has fucked him around enough as it is and not look to rearrange for a future date. That would be crap.

Chagaev is interesting since he has acted so pissed about getting taken out of the valuev fight. Chambers is a legit fight, but I'd rather see Chagaev or Valuev step in.

For some reason, I'm not that surprised.

Hard to get excited over who might be filling in on this event...hopefully it's better than Rahman, but that's a pretty low hurdle to get over.

Big Wuss has already turned it down. Apaarently went like this:

    *Ring Ring*

    Valuev: Who is there?

    Answer: The manager of Wla...

    *Clang*

Universum on the other hand has at least started negotiations for a Wladimir/Chagaev fight.
