I'm calling it for Ray. Tim is not a Klitschko. He'll get dismantled in a few rounds.

That'd have to be my pick too. Sylvia got out boxed by Randy Couture, ffs.

Apparently Fedor did far more damage to Tim than I initially thought.

Ray Mercer couldn't go a minute with Kimbo Slice.

    This is disgusting.

Yeah but that was MMA. Kimbo got him down and threw on a pedestrian choke to make Mercer tap.

In a boxing battle, I like Mercer with relative ease even at a washed-up 47-years-old.

If this were an MMA fight, I'd suspect Tim would get him down at some point. Boxing, Ray should still have enough left to rattle Tim.

cos the guy has nothing left.....zero.....i think he's older too right?

Holyfield can at least handle himself in there....Mercer is nothing but a sacrificial lamb

If this were 10 years ago, I wouldn't give Tim any kind of shot. But what is Mercer, 48? Can he even lift his arms long enough to block a punch? Does he even care enough to get into any kind of shape? His fight with Kimbo was such a non effort, you could see the only reason he was there was to get a payday.

If Mercer prepares and gets in shape, he can still beat Sylvia in a boxing match, but I just don't think he's there to win, he's there to get a payday.

The MMA fight with Kimbo was pathetic. However, Mercer HAS been competitive in boxing matches within the last year and a half.

I just don't think Sylvia is good enough to make even an old Mercer lay down. Unfortunately it sounds like we will see.

Like I said, if Mercer gets in shape, he should win pretty easily, but if he comes in like he did against Kimbo, he's gonna lose, most likely by an ugly, boring decision.

Any word on who's training Sylvia to box?

Mercer will KO Sylvia. I really can't see another outcome. I hope Mercer gives him the Morrison treatment.

Mercer came into the Kimbo fight with zero MMA training and was fully expecting Kimbo to stand with him. Kimbo wasn't going to stand though and Mercer was not prepared to fend off a choke.

There will be no surprises for Mercer in a boxing match.

    Mercer by KO!

that fight with Mercer, showed Kimbo's true colors. He wanted nothing to do with Mercer as far as striking went.

Yep, he even talked like he was going to bang it out with Mercer before the fight.

I am telling you all right now, Mercer will not lose a boxing match to the fucking oaf Tim Slyvia! No way.

I would think it was kind of cool if they boxed in a cage, but using MMA gloves:popcorn:

Tim Sylvia weighed in at 310 Lbs at the weigh in. Good to see Big Tim is taking this seriously.
