It will be a blast if REED can make it over for the fight as we can have a great victory party after Chris crunches this guy.
Great! Great! Fight. Could be fight of the year! Pure boxer vs. hard nose throw back type. I may fly out for it; Shaun is a good friend and I've followed Chris since AM's.:cheer:
Henry's gonna get dusted. 3 Factors are gonna play into this one... Power Combinations Pushing the pace I can't wait. TFK
Nice thought but I know both guys well. Shaun never pushes the pace. Chris has all the power and better chin, Shaun knows every angle but is more of a pop shoter than combo puncher. This will be a good one: "This sh#T is Chess not Checkers!" (Zo Training Day) For all the high stakes gamblers the "X" factor is the ablity to ajust on the fly witch is in George's corner. HOF corner and forgot more boxing than Chris has learned, but Chris is super grimmy! I love this fight!:hammert:
let's face it, if you're counting george's corner to win this bout for him then you're sorely underestimating the hegman factor. how long does sherm stay in one's system?
No you misunderstand. What i was talking about was the info that being trained by Tommy brooks and Lou Duva can award as a youngster and then to married Tommy's lil girl who is also Lou's Grand daughter and continue to be tutored in their gyms as a pro; but I also agree once the bell rings it's Mono y Mono. Most def!opcorn:
If that Undercard is Noteworthy, REED just Might have to Make Another Road Trip, Brother Karl...Keep REED Posted on the Developments for the Rest of the Show....& if there's ROOM on the Show, Let REED Know...He'll Try to Get Charles Hatley on the Bill... REED:hammert:
OMG too funny.. Card is promoted by Lou Savarese... Eugene Hill on undercard, maybe vs Robbie McClimans for TX title.. I assume Bill Benton or Reggie McGowan is matchmaking, so get Charlie on there! I'm guessing Cornelius White on the card, and Steve Collins, but not confirmed yet. I like Henry over George style-wise, but Shaun is full of confidence right now, and Chris has had issues outside the ring. Obviously, if it becomes a street brawl, Henry has advantage, but if George boxes and moves, could be repeat of the Yusef Mack fight. Big factor is location.
again. When did they fight? That was Yusaf Mack. I do hope that Henry learned from that fight, otherwise I would make George a big favorite to win. C
George put out a lie to Arben that he had sparred with Chris, but it was a lie as Chris had never heard of the guy. George has been KNOCKED COLD IN ONE ROUND BY ONE PUNCH!!!!!!!!!!!! Chris' father died right before the Mack fight Carlos, the kid was not himself that night as he had funeral arrangements to prepare and other miscellaneous things that happen in a situation like that, he was not in that fight mentally at all and was in mourning. You folks are making a major mistake counting Henry out in this fight, and after Chris smokes this guy, I am going to be back here telling you all about it!

Blah Blah Blah Everybody loses at some point. It doesn't make him a terrible fighter, but drop the excuse. If he wasn't himself then he shouldn't have fought.
Well he certainly wasn't sharp that night and nobody is counting him out in this fight. But you are only as good as your last fight, so certainly George has to be a slight favorite in this one. C
Yeah Shaun finished on his feet. Matt Godfrey is very heavy handed and fast! He is a border line HW. George was aways one of those between guys LHW/Cruiser. The 200 limit jump didn't help him. The biggest task for Chris will be to find George without getting countered big.opcorn:
is there any doubt that godfrey would knock the shit out of sherman hemsley Henry at cruiser as well?
George makes one or two nice moves Otis, but that is about it. Shaun is not strong enough, not durable enough, and not a hard enough hitter to keep Chris off of his chest for very long in this fight, and therein lies the difference here as Henry will stop him before eight. I wonder how many of these tough little typists will show in Houston for the fight? My best guest is...ZERO!
I think Henry has a goodd chance against George. However, if he losses are you going to make more excuses about Henry havin g legal issues etc,etc....
All kidding aside, Karl, do you have any clue how ridiculous, amatuerish and unprofessional you come off when you type nonsense like this? Do you ever wonder why, contrary to what you might believe, you are an absolute nobody in the boxing world? It's because no self respecting fighter with an ounce of common sense and dignity would want anything to do with someone who acts the way you do. Nobody here buys your tough guy act, Karl. Nobody. But let's hope you never give it up, because God knows it's brought us countless hours of entertainment, laughing at your expense. TFK
Stinger, nobody outside of this board even knows who Chris Henry is. Why would anybody here travel to Houston just to see him fight? He ain't no superstar.:dunno: What's he done? Who's he beaten? You talk him up like he's a prime Roy Jones Jr or something.
I feel u Karl! This could happen to a unfoucus and unmotivated Shaun. I've known him for five years now. I've seen him be bored with the sport and spoiled to a point. Just talked to him on the phone a few days ago. He's on top of his game and motivated to be the best @ LHW. Talked about trying to run down Glenn and Chad or RJJ; nobody wanted to make the fight. He's a new dad and this is all he's got. The best Shaun George will show up and that's a tall order for anyone in the world! So I hope Chris is prepared to walk on hot coals. Henry's style is to take your heart and Shaun said "he gone eat his cornbread!!!". LOL::
Congrats to Shaun for his new baby, Otis. No cornbread for Chris, he ran a hard 9 miles in Memorial Park this morning followed by a hearty breakfast of steak and eggs, and washed it down with generous amounts of orange juice and vitamin supplements. I don't gamble money Otis, but I'll bet you a steak dinner with all the trimmings my guy knocks George out of the box come July 10th in H-town. Karl
