If Pac-Cotto Comes to Fruition, that REALLY Backs Floyd into a Corner...1st of All, will the Marquez Fight B RE-Scheduled Or NIXED Altogether???...2nd, Does Floyd Still Look for a TUNE-UP Opponent???... Regardless, All of Floyd's Avenues R Eventually STEERING Him N 1 Direction: SHANE MOSLEY...Time to SHIT or Get OFF the Toilet, Floyd... Even if U Fight a Tune-Up 1st, there's Still NO WAY U'll Get the Pac-Cotto Winner in 2009...So U May as Well Face Shane Mosley to End the Year.... REED:mj:
:bears: Good on ya, REED. Floyd needs to get his ass in the ring and fight some real fighters. And it needs to start with Sugar Shane!
I was JUST saying this the other day when I heard the fight was postponed. We see eye to eye on this REED. "However" i wouldn't be surprised to see Floyd beat Marqeuz and come away from the fight "injured" and can't make the December match with Mosley. You're absolutely correct...if Floyd beats JMM and pac gets Cotto, floyd has no other choice but to face Mosley.
I love how this is working out. This is exactly what I wished would happen. Pac fighting Cotto leaves Floyd no other option other than to face Mosley. I love it!
Floyd is go to fight JMM around September. Manny fights Cotto in November. Then the winners fight each other. Now it's up to Shane to realise that hes going to have to fight either Williams or Berto or he can fight nobody and stay on the sidelines bitching.
Mayweather would school the shit out of Molsey. Not a fight I want to see, it would make Floyd look about 15x better than he is.
Mosley would destroy Berto. And I think he'd beat PBF too which is probably why we'll never see that fight. If Pacquiao isn't ready to fight PBF if PBF beats JMM, and he wants anther fight in 2009, he'll probably call out Valero or Guzman. I can't imagine why he'd suddenly start fighting guys in his division. Or maybe he'll call out Bradley if Bradley impresses against Campbell. Or Campbell for that matter. But don't kid yourself. He's not going to fight anyone who competes regularly at 147. He's exhausted the list of under-sized welter-weights. I could see him taking on a guy like Bailey in anticipation of Cotto's beating Pacquiao. If Cotto beats Pacquiao, PBF would probably fight him. But under any other circumstances, he'll steer clear of "true" welter-weights. That's been his M.O. for years now with the exception of ODH. But there's nobody at 147 against whom he'd make the money he made against ODH. So he'll continue to fight smaller guys moving up and claim once again that he is the P4P king even though he will not have beaten the number one or number two contender in his own division, let alone distinguished himself as the P4P king. PBF is a joke.
I couldn't complain much if Fraud signed to fight Cotto,.. Cotto is a top 4 welterweight afterall, wether he's 'squat' or not,.. Fraud is ofcourse however,.. the dumbest narcisstic piece of fucking trash boxing has seen in quite some time,...unlike Hopkins, he is incapable of masking his true intentions to thoroughly and oppurtunistically steal money from the fans,..then he sucks his own cock about what a superstar and box office draw he is in the very next sentence?,...an astonishingly dumb psychopath,.. predators like this are better off put to sleep. "Y'all talkin about him!.. if ya didn' care bout him y'all wouldnt say nuthin' " - racial supremecist or white gimp, take your pick.
exactly. shane thinks he's on the driver's seat. he beat marge and is in the spotlight again but he can't wait for cotto/pac/floyd forever. A Berto fight would be good for us.
Shane's not really in that bad of a position right now...Floyd or Cotto have to fight him. pac could always say he wants to unify at 140...though it would be silly.
Shane needs to keep busy though. At his age he cant afford to be this inactive. He should go after Berto. But I think Dibella is waiting until Shane, Cotto, and Floyd are ALL shot before he steps his fraud up.
At 37 or 38, it's not going to make that big of a difference. He's always in shape, always in the gym. he doesn't need a tune-up. In fact, the rest will keep him fresh. One of these guys has to fight him in November or December or else lose credibility.
Well if Floyd-Marquez is pushed to Sep, and Cotto-Pac is in Nov... then none of those guys will be fighting Shane in 09.
:bears: This will prove one way or another if Floyd is willing to fight the hard fights or just cherry pick. If he doesn't face SM, he may as well retire. AGAIN.
Neither Floyd or Cotto have to fight him. It looks like Cotto is fighting the man Shane wants to fight Manny Pac and Floyd is going to have his fight with JMM rescheduled. Then it's obvious the winners will end up fighting each other. I don't think Shane is in a good posistion now. Clottey called out Williams and it's ovious Shane wants to fight neither guy, so they will probably end up fighting each other. Shane don't want to fight Berto and Berto will probably have another fight before the end of the year.
if the marquez fight is pushed to september then obviously mayweather jr will wait for the winner of cotto- pacquiao. at this point, he should bypass marquez altogether otherwise he'll jeopardize the payday vs pacquiao.
So Mayweather takes a tuneup in September to fight Pac the following May (eight months later)? Does that make sense to you? IF the Marquez fight comes off in Sept. the most sense is to bring Floyd back in December, the month after Cotto-pac (IF that fight happens) to build toward Pac-Mosley (because Shane would beat Floyd) Marquez will fight in September it's just a matter of who at this point. HBO won't pass on the Mexican Independence weekend.
I don't consider it likely for hbo to push mayweather jr in 3 big payperviews in less than 9 monthes. doesn't seem likely when they can space those out and make more money. oversaturation. september is only 2 months prior to november. an 8 month layoff is better than a 2 year layoff. you're dying to see mosley vs mayweather jr, but I'm telling you it won't be an exciting fight. that is the least exciting of all the possible big fights.
Floyd isn't going to fight in September then December. He will fight the winner of Cotto-Pac probably around Cinco de Mayo 2010. Salty Balco Roidsley will remain on the sidelines crying he isn't needed.
The problem is, as much as Mosley has accomplished, and as epic as his career has been, even with ups and downs, he's not a huge draw which is probably why he doesn't want to fight Berto (even though I can't imagine his not knocking the shit out of him). Mosley better stay away from Williams. He has no reason to go there. Then again, he had no reason to fight Winky Wright twice in a row either.
Mosley's still one of the bigger names/draws in the division though. Mayweather just wants a tune-up after his bullshit "retirement" and wouldn't want to risk losing the megafight with Pacquiao after that by facing Shane. Pacquiao/Roach probably have Mosley on the bottom of the 3 names always mentioned. Cotto is viewed as an easier fight. Mayweather is not a physical big WW like Shane, and even if he's tougher to beat than Shane due to skills/counter-punching/intelligence, it's more worth the risk from their viewpoint. I don't like the idea of Mosley being too inactive. He should have a fight before the year is done. Maybe a Berto (if Berto's team would let him), Cintron, someone.
Cintron has too many shades of Forrest in his style if you ask me. If I were Mosley, and given Cintron's perceived suckhood, I wouldn't fight him.
F*ck are you on about rj? Every single motherf*cker on this board watches Shane Mosley's fights. And he went out and killed the guy whom your faggot f*ck of a hero Gayweather Jr ran like a bitch from for years and years. Disrespecting Mosley like that is a bitch move. He even went and fought Winky Wright. The same Winky whom your dipsh*t hero Floyd Bitchweather openly challenged on FNF and then ducked when Winky told him to bring it on. Trust me man! Shane Mosley's stock isn't as high as Floyd's at this point in time because he's lost fights to excellent fighters. And when you lose fights, your stock tends to plummet. The only reason your boy Floyd is flying high is because of that bullsh*t streak of his. Once that '0' is gone, that motherf*cker ain't gonna be making all those millions. That's how it works in sports. That's why your boy is so chickensh*t of fighting a guy who might kick his ass cause he knows once he loses, his whole rep is gonna get flushed and his stock is in the sh*tter! The only thing he's got going for him is that crappy ass phony undefeated record.
A guy who is a big draw doesn't fight guys like Margarito and Wright. Mosley has had to fight tooth and nail for what he has - taking on the best whenever he's asked. The only time he disappointed was when he milked his HBO contract for about three fights but it culminated in his fighting Forrest and then immediately rematching him. And since then, he's done nothing but fight the best. And he's won some. And lost some. The kind of record a "real" fighter should have. The kind of record a fighter who fights anyone is going to have. Not a manicured record like PBF's, the result of careful match-making and not giving the most worthy contenders the time of day.
Yep, and then 'retiring' for 15 months cause he can't get no love and claims he's got nothing to prove. What a phony! :: His record is all he has. If he went and fought real fighters like Mosley did, there would be no undefeated record. We saw what Oscar was doing to him when he actually jabbed. Just imagine what Winky would do to him with his jab. Humiliation of the worst kind. Of course chickensh*t Floyd wants none of that whereas Shane actually went and fought these guys. Floyd is a farce.
A zero don't make you a draw, your fighting or personality does. Margarito sold out Staples he has no 0. De la Hoya and Tyson had L's and they sold out arena after arena. Cotto has a loss and people still went to MSG to watch him. Manny has no 0 and hes the most talked about fighter today. I was happy and impressed when Shane beat Margarito. Ever since hes acted like he deserves to fight Floyd and Manny and nobody else deserves a fight with him. He ducked Paul Williams. Said there styles don't match aka Williams would beat my ass. Said that he wasn't interested in fighting Berto. He also said that fighting Cotto would be a step down and wouldn't fight him again in new York. You can say that Floyd is scared of Margarito if you want, but Shane has ducked Floyd if anybody has ducked anybody in this case. He has turned down a fight with Floyd.
