PBF fancied himself a junior middle-weight when he signed to fight ODH. And nearly lost the fight to an aged and slow ODH. How does he do against a prime junior middle-weight. One who wouldn't maintain a silent agreement with PBF to hit him on the gloves all night?

Nice, matching a guy who started and fought most of his career 5 divisions lower against one of the best and toughest fighters ever at 154 who went up to compete at 175.

well, i figured if PBF won't fight anyone in his own division, but he'll take on the best guys the lower divisions have to offer, let's see how he'd do against the best guys a higher division has to offer.

it's only one weight class up from where he competes. Mosley's done it. ODH's done it. Tons of light-weights and even former junior light-weights have done it. Heck. You said yourself McCallum ended up having success as high as 175.

Junior Featherweights? Then you go and provide a list of Lightweights who moved up to 147? Here's what you said:

"it's only one weight class up from where he competes. Mosley's done it. ODH's done it. Tons of light-weights and even former junior light-weights have done it."

You're inferring that tons of Junior Lightweights (130 lbs) have done it, that is move and be effective at 154. From your list only ODLH kind of fits since he shamed his way to getting a worthless title at 130.

The rest are lightweights who had no success at all at 147-154 except Duran.

First, who said anything about success. Second, Duran fought as low as featherweight before becoming a lightweight. Third, the challenge was to name 130 pounders who moved up to 147. That's what I did. Many of them stopped at lightweight along the way, a lot of them spending most of their career there, but it still refutes your attempt to imply that there's few if any cases in history of it having happened.

If you look at all of the guys I listed they fought at least a portion of their careers well below 135.

And my guess is Guzman will be a welterweight before we know it and he started out at 122 !!!

No. The challenge was to name 130 pounders who moved up to 154. What's wrong with you?

Why 147? The topic calls for 154 since that is the division in which you are matching Mayweather against McCallum?

That's right. I'm finished. Although, wouldn't Whitaker qualify? He had to have had at least one fight at 130, didn't he? And we all know he beat Vazquez at 154.

    Nope, started at lightweight.

Dude, if you just admitted to your learning/comprehension disability we would be a lot easier on you. The fact that you try to put yourself on our level rubs some the wrong way.

Whitaker never fought as a pro at 130 or below. He started his career as a Lightweight.
