I know I am going to sound like a hater, but this has to be one of the worst talent on any of the shows to date. The two lightweights are nothing. I like Ross, but the fact he went life and death with Jason Dent shows he isn't worth:shit: Demarcus is decent, and that is it where I see it. I honestly think Junie Browning would have won this season at LW. I would be willing to bet the only two fighters out of this season we will see have any potential in the UFC is Demarcus and Ritchie. Ritchie is really green, but he could be really good if he sticks with Team Quest.
I think Ritchie has a good future ahead of him. Ross can improve too. I see them crossing paths again.
I am not that high on Demarcus....Nick almost had him out of there. I think Demarcus is pretty much as good as he is going to be....whereas Ross is still pretty raw.....he didn't go 'life and death' with Jason....he won every round....some of it was competitive at best, sure he took some shots....but he dominated large portions of that fight. I liked Ritchie too, shame him and Ross had to meet in the first round.
A largely terrible post. I DO agree that the overall talent is bad though, especially compared to last year. Most fighters this year were fairly crap, or very average. But seriously, Richie is one of the 2 best fighters even though he lost got beaten easily by Ross who is "nothing"? And Ross didn't go life and death with Dent, what a stupid thing to say. He couldn't put him away, but he completely dominated the fight. It was an easy fight, he won every round, and barely got hit. Demarcus is nothing special too. I'd say Andre is probably the best fighter on the show. Wilks has a great chance of beating Demarcus. Lanky Nick almost had him out. Wilks is better than Nick, and is a clever, controlled fighter.
I didn't say Ritchie is one of the two best on the show. I said he is really green and shows alot of potential. The fact he trains with Team Quest will help bring all that potential out. I like Ross, but he isn't that good. Andre Winner has some skill, but will lose quickly in the UFC. Wilks is a good BJJ guy with horrible takedowns. Demarcus will pick him apart. I guess the original post had some holes in it::, but the point I was trying to make is the talent level as a whole is horrible.
Well I agree with that, certainly worse than any TUF I've seen (only the previous 2 actually). I said that right at the start of the show actually, it was fucking obvious all these guys sucked compared to last show's roster. But anyway, Ritchie is no more raw than a lot of the others, and Ross simply looked like a much better fighter. But Ross himself is nothing special, neither is Wilks, or even Demarcus, or Andre. I do think Andre is better than Demarcus though.
Andre probably has the more refined skills, he just doesn't have that toughness quality that say Lester has.
