mayweather jr has had several exciting fights. klitschko has had zero. anyone who watched that fight expecting to be entertained is a dullard.

Wlad does what he needs to do. Just like Bernard Hopkins, Roy Jones Jr, and Floyd Mayweather tend to do. Whatever works. It's probably not great tv but Wlad comes into fights in supreme shape so he obviously takes his job very seriously. It's up to the opponent to take his title away from him.

Floyd had exciting fights because his opponents made a fight out of it. Wlad doesn't have exciting fights because there is nobody good enough to challenge him. Regardless, you didn't pay a dime to see Wlad's fights since they're on free tv. Floyd on the other hand robbed the public blind with that piece of sh*t ppv abomination against Baldomir and that boring crap against a shot Oscar whom Floyd almost lost to.

The funny thing is,... Hopkins is blatantly ANTI-action,... if he's not running from a fight, he's shutting the fight down with a clinch,...usually in perfectly equal measure, the running from the fight is called "beautiful footwork and ring generalship" ... the clinching, is called "Hopkins is one of the most physical fighters in the game" ,..the hold and hits, nut crunches, and snaking his head around his opponents jaw and brow, is beautified as, "Cunning, ruthless, inside game...Hops knows where the referee is at all times, it's really admireable to watch"...Wlad just doesn't perform the 1,2 clinch, in the same way that Ali used to and it's frustrating that he cant replicate that to a tee, and he doesn't have the broadly offensive imagination of Winky Wright,.. I dont know what it is about Wlad but... ... maybe it's the fact he regularly knocks his opponents out,... that makes him painful to watch in comparison to the above mentioned...I dont know.. :dunno:

:lol:Keep it up Kauki. Hopkins used to be a decent fighter to watch mostly...pre-Trinidad. Since Tito, he has been wretched far, far worse than Wlad. Imagine if Hopkins weren't an American how different the opinions of the posters here would be. I can't imagine the venom. Yet, you are singled out as a kook for stating 100% the truth about Hopkins who is not amazing for any age. He is 100% negative and not only that he fights smaller men at their un-natural weights.

Wlad his far less boring then post Tito B-hop who is among the worst to watch in history.

Really, Herve? Has Wlad ever had to fake an injury because no one wanted to his his self proclaimed "long awaited" return? Did Mayweather ever draw 60,000 for a last minute opponent?:lol:

Chagaev isn't that great but he beat Ruiz quite clearly. 116-112.

I agree, I thought it was razor close and if forced to pick a winner it was Chagaev, but a draw probably would have been the fairest verdict

Seriously tonight showed that there is a gap larger than the Grand Canyon between the Klitschkos and all these other bums, but Chagaev did beat Ruiz (and Valuev) clearly. Ruiz did beat Valuev though, twice.

ottke sold out arenas in germany as well. what exactly does that say for the german fans?

klitschko is boring as shit. I walked out of the arena during his bout with mcCline and have rarely watched any rounds he has fought since. the guy is simply not an entertaining fighter.

Yeah, and I think his weight is probably an indication of how seriously he was taking Haye.

It would be interesting to see how he fights (Haye) with that emotion.

Mayweather isn't boring? You are a dunce. I agree Wlad is boring. Still, is he LESS boring than Slaveweather. It seems not, because Wlad has never seen the hoards of people flee an arena rather than watch him fight. In fact, Mayweather might be the only fighter in HBO history to see fans leave en masse rather than watch him fight. It was distracting and hilarious. Even Ottke didn't have people leave the arena DURING a fight.

Almost makes me like Wlad that he finally let the robot guard down, and showed some real emotions. Wlad clearly wants to handle Haye himself, while Vitali will have to settle for Arreola.

fuck no. you think i wouldve wasted my time going to that garbage? i told everyone when it was signed that it would be a shitty, boring one sided fight. for some reason a few idiots expected baldomir to be competitive.

the only worthwhile action fight i've seen klitschko in was against sanders. mayweather jr has had plenty of entertaining fights. some have been boring, and even he would admit that, but klitschko is batting .000 in the excitement department.

Great interview:lol: If Klitschko showed anything like the same personality on previous broadcasts, some of his mind-numbing performances could be partially forgiven...looking forward to klit vs. haye

His interviews are generally better than his fights....i love how he reiterated his promise to knock Haye out in the 12th round....he really wants to SERIOUSLY hurt Haye

it was a strong performance...frustrating once again as a viewer, because he could have forced a stoppage a lot sooner, without really taking that much risk......doesn't change the way i view Haye's chances, because Chagaev isn't as quick as Haye...and i think that is crucial

I don't like Haye's chances vs. either Klit...but Chagaev is one slow as motherfucker....Haye is alot faster...

Haye also has a chin to absorb Wlad's jab,... Chagaev didn't.

I'm so tired of people talking shit about fighters fighting style. Where in the fucking boxing does it state you have to fight the way message board nerds want you to fight. Fighters fight the style that make them successful. Either you are interested and watch and if you are not interested in their style then don't watch. Fighters do what they gotta do to win. If that means I gotta stink a fight out to win then that's what's gonna happen. It's the opponents job to make the guy who stinks the fights out change plans and make him fight the way you want him to fight. You cats kill me with your bullshit. But then again I'm a fan of all types of boxing styles. I appreciate the craft. I'll Holla 5000
