I will not pay to watch Pac vs Cotto. Yes, I think it is a good fight, but I don't know how you could just overlook the fight that should be made and that all the fans want which is Pac vs Mayweather.

this is not a bad fight, but it is more convenient to Arum. I know Arum will be rooting for Pacquiao.

Yeah, I think Arum wants to make sure Cotto is in a big fight before the end of the year when his contract expires, in case Cotto leaves Top Rank.

Mayweather delayed his fight with Marquez anyway, so timing wise this makes more sense. I don't want Pacquiao to just sit around and wait until Mayweather-Marquez, which when it does take place, will be about 4 and a half months after Pacquiao's last fight with Hatton.

I like this match up a lot. The only thing that would take the shine off it, is if Pacquaio makes silly weight demands, and Cotto goes along with it..... Remember back in the day, Cotto said he could do lightweight?.....hopefully his weight making dilusion has long since evaporated. I think it should be a welterweight contest....if not, then i think anything less than 145 catchweight would swing the fight in Pacquaio's favour too much.

As a styles match up, it is a very good one.

Yes I remember when Cotto attempted to go under 140. He couldnt do it. He said he felt very weak.

Mayweather-Pac is a bigger fight than Cotto-Pac but MAC-Pac is more exciting.

I'm with you. Honestly, I can't picture a scenario in this fight where Cotto doesn't get blasted. And if Cotto does win, it kills the luster of what would be the premier super fight of the century so far.

Don't get me wrong, I won't miss the fight. It's still disappointing for me, however.

The only possible thing that can make me dissapointed for this fight is Roachs crazy demands meaning Cotto will have no chance at winning. Otherwise this is 2 of the most exciting fighters in boxing fighting.

Place cotto in a fight with Shane for the title.

Have Pac fight Mayweather and the winner fight The winner of Cotto vs. Mosely.

    :boohoo:Whatever.
Your boycott will not make a dent to the ppv sales. Blame Fraud for picking Marquez instead of Pacquiao. Manny cannot sit around waiting for Fraud to grow a pair of balls.

Mayweather did not wait ONE...1..UNO...day for the outcome of Hatton vs. Pacquiao.....why should Pacquiao wait till Marquez vs. Mayweather...which who knows when it will happen...September/OCtober?.....

One of Mayweather excuses for not fighting other top Welterweights..was all the MONEY he will make in the DLH fight.......Pacquiao is a WARRIOR though...sure he might lose...a few million if he is defeated by COTTO...but if he wins..then he wins a few EXTRA million...without a DOUBT the bigger put between he and Mayweather...and FAME..>GLORY..and all that other shit...

    agREED...

If they Fought TODAY, REED Still Thinks Floyd Should Get 50-50 or SLIGHTLY MORE than Pac, but if Pac BEATS Cotto (a Guy that Floyd NEGLECTED to Fight for Whatever Reason), he'll DESERVE the Lion's Share of the Split...

Who do you think you're punishing by boycotting this fight exactly?

The fight you should be boycotting is May-Marquez, not Pac-Cotto.

It's ironic alot of people said the same thing for De la Hoya-Pac and look what happened there. I know for sure nobody here will boycott either fight.

I won't be boycotting either one, but if I had to boycott one, it would certainly be the Mayweather fight.

I sympathize with the sentiment behind streetfighters OP, but realistically, there's no way in hell I'll be able to resist watching a fight like Cotto-Pac. And neither am I sure exactly who I would want punished for this fight being made. Arum perhaps, but boycotting fights based on my ethical evaluation of the promoters is a slippery slope to say the least. I rather enjoy watching the odd boxing match now and then.

This fight produces so many unknowns it aint even funny. Hell I can't wait for this fight. Gotta love Manny Pac/Cotto for stepping up to the challenge. People are always complaining that boxing is dying sorry I can't see it. This is must see tv and they will have my money. But then again I'm a fan of the sport. I'll Holla 5000

It really sucks how Shane has been completely left out to dry after his best performance in years, and after being considered the true ww champ. He should probably just retire, because once Pac whips Cotto, and Floyd beats JMM, those 2 are going to fight next and Shane will just be more aged and more rusty.

And don't even start the "well Shane can keep busy fighting Berto, Williams, or even Clottey" talk because Shane has already said flatly that he will not fight those fights, and to be honest he probably shouldn't.
