I guess two guys to mention are Daniel Jacobs and Matvey (Matt) Korobov. Both are middleweights.

Korobov fought in the Olympics for Russia and is signed to Top Rank...Jacobs was a standout American amateur who didn't fight in the Olympics, and is with Golden Boy.

They're frequently on those cards, but haven't gotten much air time outside of ppv undercards...though Jacobs will soon be featured more (starting with his next fight this week).

Hylon Williams Jr. is another fighter, though I haven't seen much of him recently.

It's unfortunate that Solo Boxeo's off the air, used to be a great place to watch guys like this progress.

Haven't read much about the fight, but from what I've seen of him up til now, I have doubts about him.

I figured all you'd need was to see his last name to come to that conclusion.

I'm always pretty suspicious of amateurs who turn pro at such a fairly advanced age, no matter how successful they might have been at the amateur level or how much Teddy Atlas hypes him up.

There's a good chance he's close to being burnt out..................or will burn himself out with his new found freedom.

I know it's no fault of his own but he's probably going to be in his thirties before he fights anybody of significance.

Beibut Shumenov. His fight vs Byron Mitchell has been televised lately and this guy looks like quality. Very big on him.

Q'aid Muhammad was one of my favorite ams and is 4-0 so far. No idea if he'll pan out, but he has a very cool style.

I like Korobov a lot but I wish Artayev would go pro.

    Was Atlas hyping him up?

I didn't watch the card, only saw some highlights of the fight, so I don't know what Atlas was saying about him.

Maybe he's burned out, though I don't know how you're going to tell that at this point of his career...but he has had a bit of a break from the ring in recent years.

Interesting to see if Ortiz gets through Saturday night. I've touted Maidana for a long time.

I rank JuanMa as a p4p top 10 guy already. I guess he can rise in popularity.

Yeah, Teddy thinks he's the best of the recent Cuban defectees. He's been hyping him on a weekly basis lately.

Really hard to tell based on that one fight but he didn't seem to have much pop from what I saw.

He might be the real deal but I think they're going to have to move him pretty fast in the weight class he's in.

    Ortiz will crush him.

JuanMa hasn't really had a "major" fight, thats why I still list him on potential. He and Ortiz are by far the best guys who haven't had a mega-fight yet.

Gamboa will win titles, but Lara is the one with the potential to be great. I´m with you on Rigo.

Probably the best of the upcoming Brits are Nathan Cleaverly (175), Kell Brook (147) and Tyson Fury (200+). One or two other Olympian-turned-pro's, such as Fankie Gavin and Billy Joe Saunders, will also have an impact in the next few years.

British Boxing is still in good health

Cleverly - definitely, especially in the so-so 175 division
Kell Brook - I think he tops out at Euro class, he will content for world honors but I wouldn't see a lot of success there
    Tyson Fury - Euro class
Frankie Gavin - I would be very surprised if he is even very successful at Euro class
James Degale - future world titleist IMO
Darren Barker - world class MW contender
Billy Joe Saunders - at least euro class, hard to say, but he looks good so far
Tony Jeffries - British/Commonwealth, no more
