Nice rivalry between these two...I'm looking forward to this rematch. If Berto could get to his body earlier he could dominate, if not Collazo will come on strong down the stretch and it'll look like the last fight.
Berto stepping up against a guy he's already fought...can't wait. This is fine fight, but it shouldn't be an HBO main event. Collazo's not on that level, and if Berto can't beat him or fight someone better, he shouldn't be either.
Wow... I have ZERO interest in seeing this rematch. Its time for Berto to step up fa real. I rather see him fight the African choke artist.
Great. Were Berto-Urango, Berto-Forbes, Berto-Rodriguez, Berto-Trabant, Berto-Estrada, etc. all FOTY candidates as well?
wow...Berto sucks...his daddy sucks...his promoter sucks..his manager sucks..but at least they are protecting their fighter...
If this was just about having a rematch of a good fight, then they'd have done it right after the first fight instead of fighting Urango after.
yes it is. Not so much because of how exciting it was. But this was Berto's first oponent ranked int he top 10 at 147 and alot of people thought he lost. People wanted to see this rematch imediately because of that. So fuck Berto stepping up against a Mosley or somebody like that if he can't get past Collazo first. To me that's what this rematch means. If Berto can clearly beat Collazo than we can talk about him fighter better oponents. Not to mention Collazo deserves the rematch.
Really looking forward to Berto being laid out - I'd love him to fight Shane. Collazo is one of those guys that never gets the decision :crying:
Figures Berto would rematch a guy who can't punch. When Berto fights a welter-weight (not a Junior one) who can punch, wake me up.
Exactly my point. It means he's doomed against a guy who "really" can punch. Berto is DiBella's latest Taylor. Hype him up against crap competition, using his strong ties to HBO, and then he'll lose decisively and never be the same. The difference is, unlike Taylor, Berto will probably not record a single significant victory on his resume before getting knocked on his azz. Taylor, fortunately, had an aging Hopkins to pin his hopes on, a guy who can't deal with hand-speed. That's what DiBella is looking for now. A so-called welter-weight legend who can't deal with speed. He's having trouble. So Berto won't be stepping up anytime soon.
As far as Hops greatest accomplishments are concerned,... he was GREEN :crafty:...when Jermaine cowardized the ring legend, over 24 bells,..
