The thing with Petre is, he has major self esteem issues. It really is important to him that anonymous posters on this message board look up to him. It's clear to anyone with even the slightest understanding of the fragile mind why he was always talking up his cars, his boat, his money, etc. But it goes beyond material possesions. He was an expert at everything. Everyone is his family lives to be 120 and look like they're 28 when they're in their 90's. He cooking skills are a thing of legend. He's a finance and investment genius. He understands the political climate of the world better than anyone else in the world, and his opinions are his and his only, even if they were being mimmicked for years by kooks on other boards all over the internet. Hell, he even owns the world's smartest dogs, who can apparently do math, ride bicycles and juggle chainsaws. His burning desire to be looked at as the best at everything, the richest, the smartest, the healthiest, the best prepared, the most financially saavy, the most politically knowledgable, etc, etc, etc, just screams of low self esteem, as to the confident, the opinion of a group of internet strangers means very little, if anything at all. So once he threw his hissy fit and tucked tail and ran, he immediately began logging in several times a day under his hidden GTP alias, checking the boards constantly in hopes of seeing the board full of 'We Miss Petre' or 'This board needs Petre back' threads, because his frail and fractured ego needs that kind of stroking. Unfortunately for him, his plan didn't go quite as planned, as he was exposed, and now looks more foolish than anyone could've ever imagined. I think his window of opportunity to return with minimal flak has long closed, and we more than likely won't see him post here anymore once the GTP nonsense gets old. Of course, he'll still be here everyday, under a new alias, hopefully this time he's smart enough to take advantage of the numerous anonymous proxy sites available online when he creates his ID and logs in with it, so he can avoid detection and further ridicule. He'll still be hoping to see his named mentioned in a positive light, and hope that people are clamoring for his return, but instead, he'll more than likely only see his name mentioned when some future poster makes an ass out of themselves in a big way, and people will be commenting "this is almost as bad as when Petre was here posing as his son", before adding in other tales of Rubio and Alabama Man. I always thought Petre was 100% full of shit since day one. I remember when he first came to boxingpress.com. He was talking about his ability to predict fights. He said (and I'm not kidding) he had a .991 (out of 1000) record of predicting fights over the last few years. Then came the stories of the porsches, the mansion, the political and financial genius he is, etc.

There were only a few posters that actually predicted Hatton over Tszyu. Me, Neil, a couple of Brits and that racist Flagship. After seeing that upset come true, Petre went on his "Gatti has the PERFECT style to upset Mayweather" crusade. I think that was his last stand in the boxing forum.
