http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Movx_5IcM2s This fight was a few days ago, earlier in the round Kenichi scored a knockdown but Billy was'nt badly hurt, just before the round ended Billy knocked the Japanese fighter down then deliberately punched Kenichi with a left hook while he was on his knees, that punch obviously did most of the damage that caused Kenichi too stumble around the ring, by the time the ref counted to 8 it was pretty clear Kenichi was okay to continue but for some reason the ref waived the fight off, the round had one second to go. Billy then disgrace's himself by shoving Kenichi & his trainer as they went to argue or congradulate Billy on the win, who knows but it was one of worst displays of sportsmanship & officiating I've ever seen, it does'nt do any good for the reputation of Australian boxing. The ref should've deducted a point from Billy and given Kenichi 5 minutes to recover, its not shown in the video but later on Johnny Lewis was justifying the bad call by saying Billy would've got him out of their within a round or too, I went to bed fuming at the injustice.
I missed this but read in the paper that assorted dipshits jumped in the ring after the fight again. Just like the Elomar-Kickett disgrace. These pricks should be banned from future venues. Boxing FINALLY gets some free to air exposure in Australia and these stupid fucks have to start a riot because their boy got a win. It's like they think their dicks grow an extra inch every time their fighter wins.
Just watched this link. Dib should have been DQ'd. That was the most blatant cheap shot I've ever seen. Australian Boxing is a fucking joke.
I noticed they only changed the ref for the main event, it's no suprise that he was a biased one,.. at the end of that fight I had no idea what happenned, intermittently the ref waved the japanese fighter away and it just looked like a paper belt snatch,. Approximately no fighters are going anywhere outside of the australasian league, "Bolling".. might be able to get himself into the position to challenge for the commonwealth title, and lose god bless him.
Damn Aussies, you guys really should be ashamed. Do you know what shocked me more than the antics themselves? The reaction of the commentators. They make Darke and McCrory look like the voice of reason. Saying "It wasn't Dib's fault, it was maybe stopped a bit too early, but he won the fight". Completely ignoring the cheap shot from BEHIND while Kenichi was down, AND shoving Kenichi after the fight :: Jesus.
Seriously though, this kind of conduct is shocking. Even the post fight interviewer made no issue of the cheap shot or push. Australia is hardly a third world country, and in fact, in many ways Australia's laws are pretty strict aren't they? Especially regarding censorship etc. Yet the boxing officiating is probably the most amateurish in the world. They need to sort that out, for Aussie boxing to be taken more seriously, and for people to even want to fight in Australia. The weird thing is, it seems everyone is at fault. The ref, the fighter, the interviewer, the commentators, the team etc ::
From the evidence of the clip, this is another fucking disgrace. Dib, his corner and the referee should all be fucking executed for that disgrace. It is no wonder that boxing is haemorraging sponsors at the moment. MTF :doh:
Everyone that watches it is aware but in Australia, boxing is far, far behind other sports in terms of popularity. Officiating and fights like this just make it sink even further behind.

Dib isn't a bad fighter by anyone's estimation. His problem is he's a world classdickhead and is surrounded by Australia's version of white trash, 'westside bitches' thugs. I hope he gets fed to a garbage disposal unit like that homeless dude in the train station did.
