It's pretty simple when you think about it. Having wasted the opputunity to secure his legacy in his prime, Jones has unfortunately realized how important it is and is trying to do it now.

He's doing the exact opposite of what he used to rail against in his prime. Staying in the game too long.

 

I think his legacy is secured.

The guy will still go down as a legend in the sport. But how is dressing up like Captain Hook helping him in this case?

Are people gonna be more interested in watching him against Lacy because of this? NO! So again this wont' work so why do it?

I'ts funny and sad at the same time.

 

I was referring to the competition he faced. He never really had too many opportunities to face big names in the sport. Look at how he chose not to face Mickewlzeski in Europe, or accept 50/50 for B-Hops. That wasn't 100% is fault, but you have to wonder if he had just went to Germany whopped Mickelszewski, and accepted Hops offer he might not be still in the game right now.

I got no problem with him dressing up, it's kind of funny and nice to see him having fun with it and actually promoting his fight for a change.
