I have just watched Holmes vs Tyson. The punch that dropped Holmes for the first time. It was a perfect punch. He sets it up with a jab. The jab opens the guard and BAM. Tyson lands a righthook with full force. What a punch. You can clearly here the sound of the punch. The sheer force of that punch is amazing. I have watched the punch over and over again. Imo it is harder than Lewis' punch that KO'd Rahman. I would rate that the second hardest punch that I have ever seen.

Those are two great examples, but I'll have to go along with the old standard of Marciano's "Suzy Q" right hand KO of Jersey Joe in the 13th.

    Hearns-Duran.
Recently, the punch from PAc-man that took out Hatton was huge.

How Larry Holmes got up from the absolute HOWITZER that Ernie Shavers laid on him in their second fight is beyond me... that is seriously one of the most shockingly brutal right hands ever thrown

Bob Foster's left hook on Dick Tiger was unreal, but his absolutley deadly hook to the jaw of Mike Quarry is simply the best KO shot I have ever seen

I think one of those right hands that Foreman landed on Frazier has to be up there. Like the one that caused Joe to seemingly convulse.

Man, Bobby's power was something else, two great examples there.

That last hook he hit Rondon with was something special as well, and Rondon was a heckuva fighter like Mike was, but that just goes to show you that Foster was the Greatest Light Heavyweight Ever.

its rare, but I am in agreement with you

Ezzard Charles and Mike Spinks were "greater" in an all time sense because they had tougher opposition in their eras than Foster did... but in a fight between them, both would have been HARD PRESSED to defeat him... he was simply devastating... dominating jab, followed by a right hand from hell and one of the 4 or 5 best Left Hooks ever... and Foster was SMART, he had skills... At WORST, he is a total pick-em against either of them on their best days
