Run, flurry on the gloves, run, flurry on the gloves, run....decision. He won tonight, but it was nowhere near as good as the c***sucking commentators made it sound. He won a 117-111/116-112-ish fight against a natural counterpuncher. Fighters like Kotelnik aren´t comfortable to take one to land one. In the last two rounds Khan looked tired and a stronger, more relentless fighter with a punch could have put him down and potentially out. Well it was a good win anyway.
I'll give some credit where credit is due. Khan didn't look like he was ever really in trouble and fought sensibly. I had it 116-112 and Khan deserved the win. Sky Sports fucking suck balls though. Jesus Christ, I almost vomited a dozen times listening to that garbage MTF
You got that right. A fucking sickening amount of arse licking and cock slurping and ball cupping. Especially over and over again, Khan's really proven his chin tonight etc. Yeah against a counterpuncher with a 30% KO ratio, they were acting like he was taking flush left hands from Pacman ::
This is why it is fashionable to hate on Khan. It's pathetic really. I almost long for those ITV days when McGuigan was comparing Khan to Sugar Ray Leonard MTF
Don't make the mistake of underestimating brother Khan....................... He does a lot of things quite well in that squared circle, and while he may never be a Hall Of Famer, he is going to beat a lot of guys. Karl
Ottke had 6 ko's in 34 fights. Khan had 6 ko's in his first 8 fights. There are about 76,083 fighters who are more comparable to Khan than Ottke.
Whatever. Khan is a badman, people were saying this was a pick'em and shit, I said from the off, he is going to win easy, and he did. For some reason people just don't wanna give the kid any credit for anything, he handled Kotelnik ALOT easier than ANYONE else previously including Witter and Maidena or whatever that fuckers name is. ALOT of people were picking Kotelnik in this one as well, and he couldn't do shit. Give the guy a break, sure he gets alot of hype but it's to be expected, just ignore it if it bothers you that much, he's way better than DeGale thats for sure.
It was a good result, for sure. He still fights like a speedy, slappy amateur though. No real thought of craft, just throwing lots of fast punches, with no real steam on them, most of which hit gloves. I just don't really like watching him, he's not compelling to watch. My main gripe was the Sky commentators. Bunch of testicles that they are. And Kotelnik is a solid fighter, but he was somewhat tailor made for khan. Not aggressive or powerful. Still, it was a good result, I admit. Slice, who would you pick right now out of Hatton and Khan?
Khan without a shadow mate, I would have picked him before the Pacquaio fight as well, although back then I would have imagined it being closer. Khan has alot more natural talent than Hatton, give him a few years to be moulded properly he is going to be awesome. He would beat Valero right now. Really don't rate that guy. He would beat Bradley as well.
Khan's basically the poster boy for the effect modern amateur boxing is having on the pro game. I'd sooner watch John Ruiz.
Hatton. (Please God, Hatton). If Khan won I'd seriously reconsider whether I wanted to go on following the sport. Any assumptions I had about boxing being a game where skill and thoughtfulness counted for anything would be seriously shaken if Khan beat Hatton.
Ricky is so shot he'd start a bookies underdog against Khan right now. Never thought I'd ever write that sentence... MTF
