Just last night in Thailand, former WBA and WBC Bantamweight Champion won his 3rd fight in a row, a 2nd Round KO of Christian Sianturi, since coming out of retirement back in March.

Sahaprom, a former Muay Thai Champion, with a professional boxing record of 64-4 (46KOs) is best known for winning the WBC International Flyweight Title in his debut fight as a pro boxer, then winning the WBA Bantamweight Title in only his 4th professional fight.

Imagine that, fighting for, and winning a world title with only 3 professional fights under your belt. Where is the outrage?

i think you guys are underestimating the fighter in question... this is not just "some fighter who won the title with only 3 pro fights under his belt" - this is VEERAPHOL SAHAPROM. Superstar of the highest calibre.

it is my understanding that myself and Tam-Tam are a couple of the few who were enlightened from early on about Sahaprom.

one of the more underrated fighters i have come across. he has been voted Thailand's athlete of the year many times and I think rivals Khaosai Galaxy for greatest Thai fighter of all time

i think he either came close or broke the record for title defenses at 118 too.

and his comeback will be of Duran-esque proportions in terms of how epic it will be. you heard it here first

Sure. Claim to be a fan NOW that it's popular to be one. Where were you when Sahaprom needed you?

sounds like this fella tfk just now found out sahaprom won the title in his fourth pro fight. how many muay thai fights he had is overlooked. sahaprom was a bad man, without the use of any performance enhancing drugs

What outrage? This guy was a thai boxing champion before coming to boxing. Would there have been any outrage if Uriah Faber had a boxing match against Floyd Myaweather?

So this guy made 60 title defenses? Why he has never been before among the top ten P4P? I mean with such impressive record he truly deserved a spot in the P4P lists.

Only North American fighters were good enough to be in the p4p lists back when Sahaprom was doing his thing. We thought about putting Gerry Penalosa and Rosendo Alvarez in the lists, but ultimately we decided against it.

mikE, Neil and Reed know i was the head cheerleader of the Sahaprom bandwagon (which consists of 4 people maybe haha) years ago before he won the title for the second time over Tatsuyoshi.

my original post is meant to be a little tongue-in-cheek... but if you ask any of the aforementioned posters they will probably tell you that there was a time when i would make similar posts and was dead serious about them.

i have never been able to bring myself to watch the rematch with Hasegawa... i have been told its a brutal ko... and worth watching, but i just can't do it. i might cry
