Because for the next two years the best guys at 168 are contractually committed to fighting each other. Not cans, dubious 'mandatories' or silly little alphabet nonsense, but genuine contests to see who the best is.

How often does that happen nowadays?

C'mon...Khan's style has evolved a bit, out of necessity, from his earlier career, to a more safety first in-and-out amateur point scoring type of game. Thing is though, that with his gifts, he's going to have a lot of success if he's matched well and keeps his concentration...you have to admit that it isn't always pretty to watch though

One of the shittiest? It´s probably the best division behind the catchweight of 145 pounds.

I'm so excited about this, i don't think there is a dull match that could be made between the six fighters. Only shame is that the first round of bouts don't all take place on the same night

Kessler is the favourite, but i actually think Ward has a better chance than the others of upsetting him....I think his speed will give Kessler plenty of problems early on.

He has speed, but Ward can't crack an egg...especially with his right.

For Ward to do some things in this tournament I think his stamina will need to be better than it was against Miranda. He dipped at times in that fight, and I'm not sure his chin or survival instincts are good enough to last if he slows down and starts getting hit.

I think the other Andre is the biggest question mark of the tournament. Physically, he could present match-up problems, but he doesn't have the foundation of skill or ring intelligence his fellow Olympian has. And he's one of those eye-sore fighters who boxes with his lower half in reverse.

you might be right about Dirrell....i don't think i've seen any of his pro fights to date.

I don't think Ward will beat Kessler, but i see him posing more problems than some of the more favoured contenders. As you say, stamina is an issue, that's why i fancy Kessler to get a grip of the fight somewhere in the middle, then dominate later on.

I think the fighter who will come out worst in all this is Abraham...i don't think he matches that well up against the styles, and he won't have the same strength at 168.....and to put it simply, there are no easy fights here, he's been feasting on them for a long time now.
