Just got a chance to watch the fight. Campbell quit! Bradley was kickin that ass, and Nate wanted a way out. He ruled he couldnt see when even though his CUTMAN was trying to tell him he was alright. Bradley deseved to win.
yep. As much as i hate to say it, cause i liked nate cambell, his actions were disgusting last night. He was trying for the easy way out
Agreed.Nate Campbell was a piece of shit last night...smh at him, trying to play the system.I'm glad it didn't work out in his favor.
Even if he did quit the bout still should have been ruled a no contest because the cut was caused by a butt. I'll Holla 5000
fuck that crap, I'm happy he didn't got the nc. the cut wasn't that bad, he could obviously see with no problem. he was only trying to abuse the rule
Nate really fucked up IMO. He can go on and on about never getting a fair shake in the sport but most of his hardships have been caused by himself. Showboating against Pedan, coming in overweight and losing his belts, having a meltdown against Bradley. :notallthere:
What was the fairly recent bout where the guy quit before the doctor could stop the fight and they ruled it a TKO? This is the exact same situation. They definitely showed the doctor saying he would stop the fight in the Campbell aftermath, but I think that was after it already had been stopped?
haha..Thanks. Took you 5 seconds and I haven't gotten it since last night. Maybe, just maybe sometimes a guy really is hurt and can't continue. Everyone is so quick to call Nate a quitter when not a single person in here knows how he felt after receiving a eye full of Bradley's melon. The headbutt was pretty bad, is it really out of the realm of possibility that Campbell actually couldn't see? We have a fight before the campbell fight where a guy REALLY quits, I mean he just straight up quit with no injury or anything and nobody is talking about the "Quitter" Witter? Only Nate?
Everyone already knew Witter was a pussy. To the point is Nate always proclaims himself to be this ultimate warrior that would fight through anything, yet he pulls this. The cut was bad, but we've seen FAAR worse cuts from headbutts, and fighters who were willing to fight through it. I can ASSURE you that if Campbell was willing the fight, and got butted, he wouldnt have tried to get a NC. He woulda kept fighting. But he was losing, he looked slow and old and was clueless as how to deal with Bradley's style. Thus he got butted, then looked for a way out.
Campbell didn't complain about the cut, he complained that he couldn't see. I'm just wondering if anyone EVER believes a fighter when they say they were injured.
Absolute garbage. So you are saying it was Nate's fault Bradley lunged in with his head? Now I've heard it all.
What's a little ironic about this is Tim Bradley was fighting Nate almost exactly how Nate fought Juan Diaz. Juan got trashed for running out of steam down the stretch but Nate just plain quit when faced with the same scenario.
Yup. I noticed that too. Only the Baby Cow fought through his beating, Nate did not. Bradley was well on his way to a stoppage.
No simp I'm not saying that. I'm saying that Campbell took the butt as the perfect excuse to try and get a NC. Cause he knew he was on his way to losing. But it backfired on his ass. I have no remorse for Campbell. He's his own worst enemy. And he's the biggest hypocrite in the sport. Thrashes Guzman for failing to make weight. Then he fails to make weight. Headbutts Diaz, yet Juan fights through it. He gets butted, and quits. Fuck Campbell!
I like Nate much more then Junior Witter as a fighter.............but for some reason I bought Witters elbow excuse much more convincingly then Campbells "I can't see" excuse. If it comes back that Nate has a broken orbital socket or some such thing, I will cut him a lot more slack. On the surface it just seemed to me Nate was bothered by Bradley's style from the outset and wanted no part of him. Bradley was also not "lunging" with his head. It was more like he was "leading" with it ala Holyfield to get into his opponents chest, and Nate was unable to adjust to this.
You should learn how to express your thoughts better then because that IS what you just posted. Do you know what thus means? It means, "because of this"
Actually, I'd dispute that. Bradley fought moving backwards, uncharacteristically, for most of the fight. I'd say for while it lasted, as he did against Diaz, Campbell stood his ground and save for the headbutt, didn't take a step back. I think Campbell probably felt he couldn't win with blood in his eyes and that's why he quit. But I wouldn't rule out his winning the rematch. He was clearly the stronger fighter and hit harder. There's no telling what toll his body attack would've taken over 12 rounds. I think Campbell was hedging against a loss. I don't think he lost his confidence. I think he just felt he'd need 20-20 vision to beat a guy who's so fast and elusive. Seriously, does anyone really think Campbell, who's fought and arguably beat Casamayor, beat Kid A, was bothered by the punching power of Bradley. Bradley is a hell of a boxer, but I think the first guy that keeps up with him and moves him back for 12 rounds will knock him out. He reminds me a lot of M. Taylor although he hasnt as of yet shown the penchant to go to war senselessly the way Taylor did.
:bears: Nate was clearly incapacitaded by Bradely's headbutt and couldn't see...It was pretty clear cut. Disregard Xplosive he is a reactionary clown.
