    Taking on Gabriel Rosado.

Anthony Dirrell is on the undercard versus Alfredo Contreras.

Travis Kauffman and Gary Russell Jr. are also on the card.

Now somebody, anyone, tell me, did that look like the same Angulo who fought Cintron? Hell no. Dude was obviously sick in that Cintron fight and I hope he gets a rematch. Cintron was very lucky.

I liked that Angulo didn't have to fight tonight but did it just to get the bad taste of the Cintron loss out of his system before his big fight in Nov.

Rosado looked as chinny as they come. He talked a good game but you could see he was kind of shook when the bell rung. He's going nowhere.

I liked the Bogere kid. He seems very talented and just needs to tweak a few minor flaws and he'll be ready for the big time.

Rosado ISN'T Quite as Bad as Angulo Made him Look...He Actually Gave the Highly Touted Fernando Guerrero a Pretty GOOD Fight, a Few Months Ago...BLOWING THRU Rosado like this is IMPRESSIVE...That's THE FIRST Time he's Been Stopped...

I like Angulo, but besides the Arreola bandwagon, he is the worst fighter to be so honored on this board. I like the guy and root for him, but he doesn't have enough talent to be a true champion. Not that 154 is deep, but Angulo is just not very good. Make all the excuses you want, this guy got schooled by Kermit Cintron.

I feel the same way. I'm a fan of El Perro, but he'll never be an elite fighter.

I'm so sick of boxing, I don't even know any of these guys. I wish we could get guys like Lewis, Tyson, Trinidad, Hamed, etc back in the sport. Those guys always created a buzz when they fought which you just don't get anymore except in Pacman fights.
It sucks like hell that all these superstars who owned PPV are gone and NONE of them have been replaced. Boxing fanatics actually believe Gayweather Jr is a guy who can electrify the crowd! The most boring motherf*cker ever!
    Where's the future of boxing???

Angulo looked like Angulo alwys does.

Did he perform better against Rosado than he did vs Cintron? Of course. Im sure that has nothing to do with the fact that Rosado is a aspiring journeyman fighter and Cintron is a multiple time world champion.

    Nothing at all.

Mayorga might beat him. Angulo is not a world class fighter and Mayorga was.

I'm sorry, but I definitely saw a difference in the Angulo who fought Cintron and the one from last Friday night. He looked way more sharper, and quicker in his hands and feet. People can blame the opponent all they want, but I'm going off of how Angulo himself looked throwing his punches. Against Cintron he looked very sluggish and I truley do believe he was sick for that fight.

I think Angulo would make Cintron fold in a rematch. Hell, he damn near pulled it out in the end in their first fight when he was sick.

Do you think Pavlik was sick or injured against Hopkins?

I guess I am the only one that thought that Rosado was troubling Angulo for a round and a half before Angulo hit him in a clinch that the ref was too lazy to break?

I knew you were going to post that as soon as I read the post you quoted. That was my first thought too. Funny how some guys get a pass while others do not. I guess it all depends on who you're a fan of.

No you weren´t. Although you might be the only one besides Rosado that thinks the ref should have broken them up. Rosado has sparred with Bernard Hopkins and he doesn´t know to protect himself at all times?

Yeah, no shit. Rosado has not a leg to stand on, bitching and moaning like he did. He backed out with his hands down and got folded. Thats whats supposed to happen to you when you do that.

Doesn't really matter when A.) I never saw that fight, and B.) I don't know if Hopkins being sick was something that was mentioned before the match even took place as it was in the Cintron-Angulo fight. I love how a fighter can never ever be sick before a fight. I mean not even the slightest doubt can be brought up for it. I said I saw a noticeable difference in Angulo in the 2 fights, it was mentioned before the Cintron fight even started so yes, I believe it. Does Cintron deserve his victory over Angulo? Yes, he earned it and was the better man that night. Still, I would love to see a rematch. Also for the record, I didn't see where Rosado was bothering Angulo. If anything Rosado looked wide eyed and nervous in the first few rds to me. Plus Chavez and many other great pressure fighters would often go through many early rds getting outboxed before stopping their opponents. Only thing that matter's is whose hand gets raised in the end. I know I sound like an Angulo fan, but I'm actually neutral on him. I thought he looked good beating an overmatched opponent Friday and I would pick him in a rematch against Cintron. Other than that, I'll merely watch him with interest.

I thought Rosado might be too tough for a 1st-loss comeback fight. Angulo did his job well.

Anthony Dirrell is still not back to where he was. Hope he gets there because he had me wondering if he was going to be better than Andre.

It looks like Angulo could be fighting Harry Joe Yorgey on that Nov. 7th date.

I agree about Anthony, maybe not the more physically gifted of the two, but he looked like the better one, technically...at least I think that's what my impression a few years back.
