Carwin V Lesnar - thats the fight I want to see. Shane has the power to hurt the big man. Fitch V Almeida, that's a strange one I thought Almeida was working towards a title shot??
We dont know if Shane can hurt Brock. Brock could have a iron chin. People think Mir hurt brock with that knee, but i saw that fight about 5 times now and it didnt effect Brock one bit. I hope Shane can crack a few good shots in.
This is the fight want to see.Unlike the opponents Lesnar's fought in the UFC Carwin is in his prime and has good standup.
This is a good fight, but I really think Velasquez and Carwin should have fought first. Is Carwin really better than Velasquez? Nobody knows.
I've only watched that fight once and it looked to me Mir hurt him with the knee. I think we all agree Shane can bag - can Brock absorb the shots who knows
It took a knee straight to the chin for Lesnar to even be startled a little. He should handle Carwin just fine.
This is a great fight, but if Lesnar wins, the Lesnar haters are gonna say that Carwin is a nobody. But fuck the Lesnar haters, this is a good fight. Velasquez will now be fighting Ben Rothwell at 104, which is another real good fight. If Velasquz wins, he'll probably get the winner of Lesnar\Carwin. TFK
I'm not going to deny it I want to see Brock KOed, its not personal or the fact he was in WWF. He is just to big and I would love someone to beat him. If he destroys Carwin there is no denying that he deserves to be the champ.
I agree, Lesnar/Carwin is going to be action packed. Both guys like to throw bombs and can wrestle like beasts. I will have to pick Brock, how can you not. But no matter what happens, neither one of these guys are going away anytime soon. This will be a rematch in a few years down the road as well. Velasquez/Rothwell will be a good matchup as well. I hope the winner gets a title shot and Dos Santos gets the loser.
If Velasquez wins, he'll get the title shot. If Rothwell wins, I don't think he'll get a shot in only his 2nd UFC fight. I think they'd be more apt to give it to Dos Santos if he beats Cro-Cop or Nog if he beats Couture. Rothwell is a very good fighter and I wouldn't be surprised if he beats Velasquez. I wouldn't put money on it, but it could happen. TFK
Carwin definitely carries power, but i wasn't all that impressed with him in his last fight....but due to his size and power alone, he is one of Lesnar's most dangerous challengers.....i rate Velasquez, but he's too small for Brock. I'd prob pick Cain to beat Carwin, but i give Carwin the better shot against Lesnar. I like Fitch-Almeida.....can't say i'm all that excited about Tito's comeback fight
I would have like to see carwin in a couple of other fights before he get his title shot. Still, should be exciting
Mir didn't beat Lesnar the first time because he was lucky. He beat him because he was a more experienced fighter who took advantage of Lesnar's mistake. Nothing 'lucky' about that. TFK
I think he's overrated.Beating Carwin will be the best win of his UFC career IMO...I can't believe people are impressed with him beating shot fighters
Carwin has a really good chance here. He could turn those lights out. At any rate, it's a great chincheck for Lesnar. My hope is that Carwin lands the big one. My guess is that Lesnar takes it. I'm really iffy on this one. I could see Carwin landing the same type of shot as he did on Gonzaga. Gonzaga had him hurt with those three headshots, but Carwin shook them off and showed good poise before getting to his feet and crumbling Gonzaga with that right hand. I'm positive Lesnar will be able to take him down, but will Carwin be able to scramble to his feet? I dunno.
That's why this fight will be good,so many question marks on both fighters and they will all be answered in this fight.
I absolutely agree but that is the excuse for Brocks loss. This is why I have this burning desire to see Brock flattened. Maybe it is because he 's the champ and I want to see him knocked from his perch. I cant explain it I just know I will not root for Brock until he tastes defeat.
I think Lesnar is improving all the time, is he the best HW in MMA ? Not in my book. His has nothing on his record to say otherwise. He beat an old Randy who did pretty well until he took that shot to the side of the head. Heath Hearing, who hasnt beat Hearing.
I don't know how anyone isn't excited about this matchup. Carwin can bang. He has a solid wrestling background. And he's part of Greg Jackson's squad. Make no mistake about it, this is a tough fight for Lesnar. While he is the better wrestler, Carwin is good enough to keep this one on it's feet where he seemingly has an advantage. Brock better have a solid chin or land the first big shot. Carwin is a tough dude. Gonzaga dazed him badly and broke his nose and Shane kept throwing. In my opinion, this one could really go either way.
Come on now, lets not be fucking rediculous. You may have a point that Brock may be overrated. He has alot of hype that is for sure. But to say Carwin would be a better win than Mir is stupid.:notallthere: Mir beats 95% of all HW's on the planet. There is no denying that. And the manner in which Brock destroyed him is crazy. Randy still beats 80% of the HW's on the planet, no matter how old he is now. Heath Herring is still a tough SOB, not sure where I would rank him in the world, but I would adventure to say he is a top 25 HW which is still pretty damn good. Criticize the man for faults in his game, but stop talking out your ass.
Mir is shot and has looked like ass since coming back from the accident.Randy is what 43 and didn't fight for a year going into the Lesnar fight...Heath Herring is a washed up gate keeper.Carwin is in his prime and hungry, something the last three fighters mentioned are not
Mir is not shot, the precise destruction he did on Nog was crazy. I don't care what anyone says about Nog being in too many wars. Mir picked him apart textbook style. It was a thing of beauty. And regardless of Randy's age, I still pick him to beat 80% of the HW's on the planet. Enough said. Heath Herring is a gate keeper, but a damn good one. Shane is one helluva fight. You are right, he's hungry. If Brock doesn't come out with his A game, have a great training camp. Carwin could eaily walk away with that belt.
