Why is nobody talking about this fight over here? Does Belfort have anything left? He used to be my favorite MMA fighter back in the day. What's the story here guys?

Nobody usually talks about fights that have a PPV before it.

UFC 102 needs to be shown first.

    Vitor has plenty left.

He is dangerous early to any middleweight or light heavyweight on the planet.

    his last fight with Lindland.......

This card doesn't do much for me. Belfort is long past his best days, and Franklin's decent from being a great fighter is in full gear. Neither one will be a champion again, so this fight really looks like the thrown together in a hurry main event that it is.

Cro-Cop is shot as well, but it'll be interesting to see if Dos Santos is legit or not. If he can't get past Mirko, he isn't.

Kampmann and Swick and Koshcheck and Trigg are yawners as well.

I do love to watch Tyson Griffen fight, and he should beat Franca in what should be fight of the night. If Griffen wins, he needs to be in title contention.

In all honesty, I'll probably Sopcast this one.

i think this is a good card top from bottom, all 5 of those intruige me personally.

if you buy 102 and not 103, something is wrong with you!

I have to disagree, I think that Vitor has plenty left and this should be a pretty good stand up war.

Although Mirko clearly isn't what he was during the Pride days, a little bit of me is just praying for the old Crocop to show up.

I don't se how you can think Swick and Kampmann will be a yawner. I think this will be a great fight, as will Griffin/Franca.

Not the best card ever, but it definately has some interesting matchups.

IMO Belfort is better at 185.He should of stayed there in the first place but he wanted to get buffed and fight bigger fighters.:notallthere:

If this trash can outsell Mayweather-JMM with a good U/C then Boxing really is in huge trouble. This card blows.

People hoping for the old Cro-Cop to come back is very much like people believeing that the old Tyson would come back. Fact is, it's not happening. Cro-cop just isn't an elite fighter anymore.

This trash? And Mayweather vs Marquez isn't trash? I'm not saying this is a great UFC card, but Floyd fighting marquez is :shit:

Why is Mayweather-Marquez trash? If you say size then sure GSP-Penn was trash to you and that was UFC's biggest fight this year, in terms of quality of fighters. GSP has a bigger size advantage of BJ than Floyd does Marquez.

Marquez is a career feather weight. That is all I have to say about that. Floyd could have fought someone in his own weight class.

How'd that turn out for the smaller man BJ? Same way it's going to turn out for Marquez.

I know you ain't giving Marquez a shot in hell in this fight, nobody is and we will all be right.

Marquez's last few fights have been at lightweight and he has stopped the world champions that he has faced there.

Yeah cause Casamayor is really at the top of his game right now. Diaz was not a champ when they fought either.

You can try to justify it all you want, you know damn well Floyd took this because it's a safe fight. He didn't go seeking out a challenge. I don't blame him for not making a Mosley fight right off the bat, but for the love of god fight a fucking WELTERWEIGHT!

Yeah and meanwhile Marquez has been dropped or rocked badly in almost every fight he's had recently. This includes a fight against Diaz who couldn't put a dent in Malignaggi.

How did Marquez do against Paulies grandad Manny Pac. Sure was 10000000x better than Paulies Daddy Ricky Hatton done. Marquez is p4p number 3 at worst right now.

p4p was a concept that was invented in discussions on how guys in different weight classes might do against eachother IF they were the same size.

Now it's a way for people to justify fighters picking on smaller fighters.

    I fucking hate p4p.

I think they're only showing 2 of the fights on Spike. They can't show all of the undercard fight live. What if the PPV fights are all first round blow outs? There would be a lot of time to kill, and if they already showed the undercard fights, what are they supposed to do?

I think there would be a lot of pissed off people if they paid $55 for 15 minutes of fighting and the rest filler.

Good point. But they have a 2 hour block on Spike. It looks like filler on free TV. They'll probably show the TUF alum and spend an hour on background for each. And lots of ad space for the PPV.

That's one great thing about UFC. They show as many fights as they can fit in a PPV Broadcast. If the fights end early, you see undercard fights. And the filler, interviews, video packages, etc are kept to a minimum.

If boxing could take one thing from UFC, it would be to get the most out of your show.

it did come across funny, TFK kind of made it out like its the only good thing about the UFC:rolleyes:

but he is right. for the most part, boxing PPV undercards blow hairless goats. And they never show the untelevised fights regardless of how quickly Manny Pac ko's Hatton.

The main differences between GSP and Mayweather was that GSP was an active fighter and GSP cuts weight then rehydrates after the weigh in. Mayweather hasn't had a fight in almost 2 yeas. He also doesn't add weight after the weigh in. On fightnight there will be very little weight difference between Marquez and Mayweather. GSP had alot of natural body weight and muscle mass on fat BJ.
