I think Lesnar is most vulnerable to a kickboxer who can keep it on the feet or guillotine him on the way down. Lesnar is neither fluid nor mobile on his feet.
The problem is that he is so Freakishly strong and his wrestling is so good, i dont see anyone stopping him from the takedown.
I shouldn't even need to get into the 1st Brock fight if you watched it. That fight means nothing, obviously after what happened the 2'nd fight. As for Nog, refer to my original statement.
Did you say Mir was shot before he fought Brock the first time? Nog was beat becuase he had no answer's for Mir's standup. Nobody would have thought Mir would come out fighting and trying to keep it standing the whole time. Nog didnt train for that.
Yes, Mir has been shot before the accident. This is common knowledge. Nog lost to Mir's standup because his reflexes and speed are GONE. Nog is shot buddy. Nog was also fighting sick on top of that.
He looked nothing like The Big Nog that beat Josh Barnett in Pride...actually that's the worse he's looked in his entire career.
How can he be shot before the accident? He was the UFC Champion when he had the accident. He lost his first fight back from the accident. : shot before the accident.
But after an accident like that, an accident where the doctors said you would never fight again, dont you think its logical that he would lose a few fights? He lost his first fight back, won his second fight back, and lost his third fight back. From there, won three straight, including Brock, and then lost to Brock in the rematch. I dont see him as being shot. His fight against Kongo will show if he is shot or not.
I'm not sure Carwin has the chin to hang with Lesnar. He was rocked a few times by Gonzaga, and Lesnar hits much harder than Gonzaga. TFK
How do you know that Brock hits harder than Gonzaga? Gonzaga is a waaay better striker than Lesnar is.
I actually think that Brocks striking is fairly overrated atm. He relies too much on his lead right and he cant punch in combinations. I bet you the person who beats him avoids that lead right hand and stuffs/avoids his takedowns. I know it is easier said than done, but thats what I think its gonna take.
They have Couture in common and Gonzaga got schooled by Couture and Brock knocked him out. Make of that what you will, but I don't see Gonzaga as being a better striker.
Those punches from Gonzaga would have rattled anyone, and Carwin shook that shit off and lowered the boom bigtime. Besides, Brock hasn't knocked anyone out except for that little drum solo on Randy Couture. My feeling is that Carwin might lack the head movement, size, and defensive ability. I do really want to see what happens when he lands a right hand on Brock's chin though. If anyone is going to rattle Brock, Carwin is the guy.
But the guy has dropped Mir, Herring and Couture with single punches. Lesnar has heavy hands. I doubt he will trade with Carwin, but don't think he can't end Shane's night with a right hand.
Brock is gonna steam roll this guy I'm glad.. I want people to really think he has a shot vs Fedor so when he gets easily handled it will be even better
Personally, I hope Fedor gets brutally KO'd by Rogers. I'm pretty sick and tired of Fedor. He may very well be the best HW in the world, he needs to fight more often and against consitantly good guys. No lindlands and Choi's in the mix anymore and fuck those fake ass exhibitions.
I'm with you. Fedor has been riding the Numero Uno thing for too long now.....and hasn't faced top opposition since CroCop. Lindland??? Are you fucking kidding me? Choi???? It's absurd.
Well that's the thing about fighting outside of the UFC. You're just not gonna get good competition on a consistant basis outside of the UFC, unless you're fighting at 155 or below. Fedor has beaten the best, but some of the guys he's fought are just embarrassing. TFK
Yes...at the time Fedor fought and beat them,...CroCop and Nog were probably better than anyone out there at the present moment. However....what has Fedor done lately??
