    PERSPECTIVE...

People were Only Saying that in Regards to his Fights 2 YEARS Ago...NONE Of Us Knew How LOW Floyd Could Get After the Layoff...Being a Full-Fledged Welter NOW Doesn't Mean Floyd has ALWAYS BEEN a Full-Fledged Welter...

    REED:nono:

ps. This is yet ANOTHER Road-Block in the Likelihood of Pac-Mayweather...There's NOfuckingWAY Roach will Let Manny Face Floyd @ Anything OTHER than a Catchweight...

    Yep...

There was Always "Talks" That the Catchweight was 144-143, but Floyd NEVER Acknowledged Those Talks...

WOW! What a creeping, scary size difference! Poor Marquez. :dunno:

I mean, YES Floyd is not fighting a natural Welterweight but these guys are not so far apart in size that it should matter that much come fight night. It won't mean much as far as the Welterweight scene but everyone playing the size card as the only reason for the outcome cut the bullshit. There was MORE size difference between Floyd and Oscar than it is here yet nobody said it would mean shit for DLH if he won.

We have a good fight on our hands between the 2 most skilled boxers in the world...

    Bring it on.

Oh, I see! Because they are about the same height there is no size difference. Right.

    Well then... BRING IT ON!!!

Apparently U Didn't SEE the Weigh-In...Marquez Weighed 1st & Put his Pants & SHOES Back On B 4 the Staredown...Floyd Weighed In, Walked Right Over to Marquez and Did the Staredown in his SOCKS....Marquez's SHOES Gave him 1 1/2-2 EXTRA Inches...

Fraud's arms are long enough to play little piggies with Marquez's toes, compact his bones and muscles into the measurement of Marquez's wingspan, and he'd have 24" inch gunzzzzzzz..

So why does Floyd have to pay a fine, if there was no contract?

It shows no "balls" to let another guy break your contract. It is called stupidy. If Marquez was serious about winning, he should have forced Floyd to come down. He is the smaller man, he has earned that right

It's no surprise that Floyd had a trouble making the weight. Like I said the other day, if anyone was going to have trouble with the weight, it would be Floyd. Marquez is fit. Floyd spent the night before the weigh-in trying to renegotiate the contract so he wouldn't have to pay the athletic commission $1 million. Floyd just doesn't have his shit together.

I'm more confident than ever in a Marquez win.

Don't get your hopes up. Roach will make Cotto chop his hand off or no fight.

It's not often I agree with Ugo, but I think he is right in this case. I'm sure Marquez fancies his chances, but is probably mainly doing this for the money.

Marquez ignoring Floyd's sneaky weight advantage is not for anything else but money.

Marquez should have demanded that Floyd shed the weight, or the fight was off, if this really was supposed to be a catchweight of 144.

For example if Pacman did something similar with Oscar, ie let Oscar come in a few pounds overweight, and just said yeah whatever, let's fight, I wouldn't say it was ballsy, I would say it's because he doesn't want to lose a huge payday :)

But the FACT is, the SMALLER Guy is ALLOWING the BIGGER Guy to Come in @ the Weight he PREFERS...There's NO Getting Around How BALLSY that is, Mex...

    Yes and no.

The way I see it is, how many people in Marquez's position WOULD be prepared to just risk the fight not happening? Not just losing out on a huge payday, but also disappointing legions of fans, the network, promoters etc?

You aren't seriously saying Marquez should not fight him. Marquez knows what this fight is. He might think he can beat him because a big, fat bum like Castillo was able to, but he knows deep down that he came to the fight knowing he is a lamb and he is there to get slaughtered.
