I guess we can discuss the show in this thread.

Did anyone see that cut? That was the worse cut i have seen any fight. If someone has a picture, please post it.

I think Rampage needs to take coaching serious. He was a shit coach the last time, he needs to fucking step it up. If all he wanted to do was fuck around, he should have brought in some great co trainers.

Still the best coach in Ultimate Fighter history was Tito Ortiz. He actually taught his guys things and gave a shit.

Rampage saying Kimbo doesnt even have to train was stupid. He needs to train the most.

Rampage isn't, never has been or never will be a coach.

Tough guy, likable guy...knows how to fight.....isn't very smart.

...i didn't think the fight at the end of the show was a good advert for UFC, partly because of the standard, partly because the pattern of the fight never changed, but mainly because of the officiating.

That is probably the deepest cut i have seen in a fight. The amount of blood that poured onto the canvas was startling to me at home, but clearly not for the ref who didn't even think to stop the action to have a look. That may be considered a moot point, because when they (ref and doctor) did have a chance to look at it, they, quite frankly, didnt.

It was clear throughout that there was only ever gonna be one winner, and so the corner must take some responsibility to. The guy was well out of his depth, had no chance......he was in that fight far too long, and it is not a great testimant to the victor's skill that he wasn't able to finish it off himself.

As for the show, Rampage was funny (...i creased when he tried picking the cameraman) yet utterly useless as a coach. Making fun of guys, or walking off in a puff isn't going to lift anyone's confidence, and bellowing 'you got to do something' or 'stand up' is hardly the tactical nous that is going to give his men the edge over Rashad's. To be fair to Rampage, i think some of his comments about Kimbo were in jest.

Rampage Doesn't Even Consistently Train Hard HIMSELF, so there's NOfuckingWAY he's Equipped to Bring Something Out of these Other Guys...He's Only a Coach Because he's a NATURAL for T.V...But as an Entertainer, Rampage is PRICELESS!!!...REED didn't Know U Could Say the Word "Titties" on T.V...

Rampage is a Good CHEERLEADER to have in your Corner, but he's Clearly NOT a Coach...REED was Surprised that Juanito WASN'T w/Rampage this Time, as he was During the Rampage-Forrest Season...Rashad is MUCH Better Suited for Coaching....

As for the Fight, agREED...That Shit Looked like a HORROR Flick...The ENTIRE Upper Right Side of that Guy was COVERED in his Own Blood...Personally, REED Couldn't Stand to Continue HITTING a Guy Bleeding THAT Much...REED Would've Backed Off of him, Tapped Out HIMSELF & Found the Nearest SHOWER......Other than the GORE, the Fight SUCKED...

Gotta Admit, REED GAINED a Measure of Respect for Kimbo for even DARING to Come Onto the Show...He KNOWS there's a Bullseye on his Back & is Basically DARING Guys to Test him...Gotta ADMIRE Kimbo's Courage for That...If NATHAN Else he Wants to PROVE that he's NOT an Overhyped Fraud Even if he Is...

    GOOD Season Opening Show Overall...

Juanito and Rampage parted way and and are at cold due to allegation that he overcharged Rampage for training camp facilities ( big bear gym I think )

The first 2 guys ( especiallybb the loser) were horrible, Kimbo would have tore through that guy easilly imo

Brock Lesnar can tell you about that fool.

Rampage is an entertaining Matt Hughes. They both suck at coaching.

That cut looked like it needed staples to close up. That was a gash and a half. The poor guy said that he'll keep training just in case someone else drops out. He should get a 6 month medical suspension just for that cut.

I don't like Kimbo, but have to respect him for going on the show. It's been pretty fun so far.

Matt Hughes was a bad coach the second time, but the first time he was an excellent coach.

You just have to remember, these guys are not coaches, they are fighters. I don't expect great coaching out of any of the fighters on the show.

Rampage is a funny ass dude for sure. Telling Rashad he didn't look like he could take a punch in the Machida fight was awesome. So was the titties thing. lol

the winner of the first fight is one of the biggest pos I ever saw, faking to touch gloves to get a takedown, especially in a fight your winning easilly, is really a bitch move. I hope he gets koed brutally next

Agreed, that guy is a cowardly nonce.

What was Rampage thinking though? Pitting a guy who can't defend a takedown against a pure wrestler?

And FUCKING HELL was that cut bad? I didn't realise until I saw them fixing it, his forehead was basically split open, it was this huge fucking deep gash, unbelievable.

And yes, awful officiating, how could they not even look at the cut once that absurd amount of blood started pouring out?

I don't believe it was that bad or as open in the 1st round. I agree there was a PROFOUND amount of blood flowing however I think the main reason it wasn't stop was EVERYONE was hoping Rampages guy would at least get a chance to fight, Throw a punch or do ANYTHING significant. Hell this was that guys big moment and that cut and 5 minutes of being stradled is all he's got to show for it.

I don't care if Rampage can coach a lick. The dude is funny as hell. Rashad is a well-spoken fighter but he can't hang with Jackson's shit talking. When he started talking about Rashad looking like a fish out of water when he got KO'd by Machida I almost choked.

He can't coach; he doesn't really even try; but damn he's entertaining.

The 'coaches' don't do much of the real coaching anyway, unless it's someone who actually is a coach, like a Matt Serra. Most of the coaching and teaching is done by the team they bring in.

it seems most people had Shivers winning the "fight". I just can't see how you could give him the 2nd round

Is Rampage a retard???? is he just not taking it seriously??? does he secretly hates kimbo or did he knew he would quit the UFC and wanted to screw the season??? First, after picking Kimbo, he picks all the guy who were brought in to be sacrificial lamb to kimbo ( the Abe guy was his second pick :doh: ), all of the guys I had heard good thing about them ended up on Rashad, then, he doesn't pick a fight for Kimbo when he had the chance, he just had to knew that Rashad was going to get him in a tough fight. Poor Kimbo, I'd have him favored against all of the guy who already fought save maybe this Madsen guy who seems like the kind of pure boring wrestler that will trouble Kimbo

Shivers definitely won the first round. McSweeney didn't even go after him when he was obviously gassed and he was turning his back in exchanges. Why should the judges penalize Shivers for gassing when his opponent doesn't want to fight him? I can't see how he won. Ridiculous.

I think Nelson is cocky and will get caught by Kimbo and KTFO.

With some proper training and conditioning, shivers could be successful. His wrestling was pretty good.

Nelson's belly is embarrasing. I hope kimbo knocks him out.

I already like Kimbo a lot more than I did in his EliteXC days. I hope he knocks that fat ass Roy Nelson out. Nelson pisses me off with his attitude, he thinks he's better than anyone on the show.
