Wow that is good news. I love the direction MMA is going. Boxing take note because there is no need that fans have to choose one or the other. I can watch both and i CANT get enough.
in light of Dana's comments - about being on network tv within a year, i find this news particuarly amusing. He must be seething.
REED Doesn't Know Why, but he JUST Got the Feeling that Rogers will UPSET Fedor Now, Since he'll B HEAVILY Hyped as the Greatest MMAist Ever & All of That...MOST of the Build-Up will B about Fedor, then he'll Come Out & Get KO'ed by Brett Rogers... REED:doh:
Well Im sure Dana could hav ebeen on Network TV 2 years ago if he wanted to, but he wants to make sure its the right move for the UFC. Dana doesnt want to fail, and i applaude him for taking his time
THats ok. Just go back, train, get a rematch and try to whup that ass. A loss might make Fedor even greater
Fedor .....even at his advancing age and recent lack of quality opposition...will tie Rogers into a knot.
Reed would be right, Fedor strikes me as having a little too much confidence in his stand up abilities, it will be the way his streak comes to an end, I also dont think he gets himself into the best possible shape for recent fights. However when we agree about something (Peter - Chambers), we usually fail together, ....so cheers to that, if nothing else.
I can't see it happening and predict Fedor in R1. If it did happen I would agree with the God father, Fedor would come back bigger stronger better!
With those 4 oz gloves this is always a possibility. Although given Fedor's ability to avoid getting hit, as well as his strong chin, I see it as a very unlikely scenario. I think that Rogers wasted the element of suprise on Arlovski. Fedor now knows that Rogers likes to brawl and he will be ready for it. Fedor is very good at analyzing his opponents.
It'd B SAD if Fedor Got Beat by a FAT Guy w/a Fucking MOHAWK, on National Television...REED HOPES he's Wrong about that Gut Feeling he Has... REED:mj:
Bottom line is that it could happen. Rogers has a good chance of knocking out Fedor. If it happens on national TV with a majority of viewers not being big MMA fans, it would be terrible for the sport in my opinion.
If you keep predicting that Fedor will lose, sooner or later you will be correct. Please put money where mouth is.
I think we might not be giving Fedor enough credit. The guy is the definition of a Professional Fighter. He knows this fight is the biggest exposure of his career. We all know Brett has one chance of wiining, one punch ko. That is it. If a bunch of dorks on an internet board know this I would be willing to bet Fedor and his trainers might have a hunch too. Fedor by submission round one.
