Gentlemen, in less than 10 days, on October 3-rd, WBA World Welterweight Champion Vyacheslav Senchenko takes on the challenger, Motoki Sasaki. I have some thoughts about this fight, but would like to hear others first, as well as your final predictions.
Agreed. Vyacheslav will be too much for Motoki, so a win over Sasaki should set him up nicely against the likes of....other good welterweights....i guess....
If he defeats Motoki, Vyacheslav will have a perfect record of 30 wins and no losses. In today's packed welterweight division, such numbers mean quite a lot.
Ehh.....this topic is about upcoming Senchenko-Sasaki fight. Why do you feel the need to drag PBF in this discusssion? But personally, I would love to see PBF take on Vyacheslav. This is the fight today's boxing really needs.
Well then be prepared to be disappointed. PBF hasn't fought a single top welterweight. Don't expect him to start. Why should he when people like you think he's great for having beaten a featherweight?
And you call yourself a boxing fan? Maybe you should switch to watching MMA, UFC or some other crap? Seriously, the welterweight champion of the world is fighting in less than 10 days, and you had no clue it was happening?
I've just read a preview of this fight in Boxing News, but like a few others, I must confess that I've never seen either of these people fight. Who the fuck are they? MTF :dunno:
They are: 1) Vyacheslav Senchenko, the reigning, defending WBA Welterweight Champion of the World 2) Motori Sasaki, challenging Vyacheslav Senchenko, the reigning, defending WBA Welterweight Champion of the World. Hope that helps.
The moral of the story is, that Fraud shouldn't have to fight other welterweights because we're all shaking our heads as to who this paper titlist is, it adds a reflection of sorts that the welterweight division is not worth Fraud's time, thus the future, is to pick out smaller name fighters instead, and Fraud was right, and WILL be right, whenever he choses to do so. :cheer:
There is no welterweight division. There's a Mayweather division and a Pacquiao division....but the weight limits for both change from fight to fight. And Senchenko and Sasaki aren't fighting in either.
I have a ticket to ringside for this one. I pondered between buying this or the upcoming Floyd-Pac but I think this is the better fight. Hope to see all real fight fans there
Stop lying, you dirty Norwegian, you. The fight is going to take place in Donetsk, which is a long way from Copenhagen.
By the way, I'm sure it's been discussed in my absense, but just last week the former WBA Welterweight Champion of the World, Yuriy Nuzhnenko, also made his comeback to the ring, stopping the always durable Mamasol Kimsanbaev in just 4 rounds. That fight was on undercard of Sergey Fedchenko-Kaiser Mabusa main even, where Kaiser upset highly touted Fedchenko in 12 rounds with an MD.
I sold my house to get enough money to make the trip. This is one of those once in a lifetime experiences. How are things in Kiev, you Kazhak?
And just in case anyone was wondering, yes, Mamasol Kimsanbaev is a protege of Mohamad Abdulaev, a highly-touted quitter, who brought a shame to his country in his last few outings in the ring. Before his disgraceful quit job, he did manage to convince a few not-so-knowledgable boxing fans that he was the real deal, before he was destroyed in a one-sided fashion by every half-decent fighter he's met.
Senchenko thoroughly dominated his Japanese opponent, despite suffering cuts from headbutts, and won an UD. With this victory, Senchenko cements his status as WBA World Welterweight champion. Who can challenge WBA king?
