I had to laugh when I saw he was getting snot and tears all over the microphone. And what was up with Jim Lampley making that rant at the end about a fighter's dedication compared to the Klit's? I mean he made a good point but he was so into it, I thought he was about to cry too.
REED Looooooooooves the PASSION of Mexican Fight Fans, but it's Sometimes MISguided...The ONLY Redeeming Quality about Arreola is that he's MEXICAN...If he were a JIGGLY White, Black, Asian or Arab Guy, NOBODY Would Give a Flying Fuck about Him OR his Heavyweight Championship Chances... REED Gets Accused of "Rooting for the Brothers" & that's True in SOME Instances, but REED will NEVER Bring himself to BLINDLY Root for ANY Fighter, just Because he's a Brother...Especially if he's a SLOVENLY Piece of Shit w/ C-Cup Tits... REED:hammert:
Lampley always cries when the Klitschko's fight. Seriously, listen to him wail after the Vitali-Sanders fight.
I agree with you, Reed. One thing I hate about boxing is people like fighters for the dumbest of reasons, race, ethnicity, country of origin. VK fought a very smart fight. He looks horrible when he fights, but why people complain is beyond me. He literally fucks people up and dominates people. I came out respecting that fat pig alot more as well. Unlike most of VK's opponents, Arreola tried. Based on this, I think he would have a shot against Wlad who is nowhere near as smart as Vitali is. HBO brought up a good point. If the Klits were from Texas, or shitlips, Arkansas, Americans would love them. VK is as dominant as a fighter can be at the highest weight class. Sure he looks like he sucks. If only more fighters could suck so bad that the mutilate all but one of their opponents within the distance.
THAT IS RIDICULOUS. Merchant open rooted for Arreola before the fight. If anything, Lampley and Merchant are jingoistic flag waivers. I think your point is awful. Lampley ejaculated when Hasbeen Rahman kayo'd Lewis. Lampley and Merchant are flag waivers not racists. I was rooting for the Klits though and it is because I have way more in common with them then a do a glorified cholo who grew up 50 miles away from me. It isn't a race thing. It is a brotherhood of the mind. The Klits are sportsman, educated and in VK case he is actually fun to watch. Wlad's in the ring stuff makes him a liability to boxing, imo. Arreola's false modesty is not endearing at all. Still, Arreola is awful and his being fat is only part of it. He is basically a club fighter, a slightly better Javier Mora who I have had the displeasure of seeing live at least thrice. He made VK work harder than most have and he took a horrific beating. I like Arreola more now then before.
Nice to see you and REED can have a civil discussion without going at each other's throats. Anyway, I was rooting for Vitali too because he's the only HW I like right now. He would have been competitive at any point in HW history I think with his size, strength and durability. I forgot to mention earlier that I loved the comment Merchant made when he said Vitali throw's arm punches with power. That quote was exactly on the money.
It is hard to rank VK, at least for me. In some ways he is arguabley one of the most dominate heavies ever. Tyson killed people faster, but when he didn't he also lost rounds. Lewis lost rounds to some awful fighters like "The Mohawk Bum" and Frank Bruno. Vitali has never been behind imo after the fight is official over 4 rounds. He hasn't fought great fighters either to be fair. I agree though that Vitali unlike Wlad would be a tough fight for any heavyweight in history. I am not saying he beats Holmes, Ali, Johnson, Lewis, (although he would stop Louis with ease and Marciano) TYSON, FOREMAN, FRAZIER, ET AL, but he would have a shot. He fights ugly, but is sure is effective and he is better now then he was earlier, not physically, but mentally.
This is correct. Unlike some here, you and Reed can actually see what is important, that being the results. Vitali outlanded his opponent in every round, ripped his face off and stopped him, so let's whine about his style:notallthere:
Maybe if he had trained properly for the biggest day of his life he wouldn't have had man-boobs. And even losing fat wouldn't have improved his remarkable lack of boxing skills...especially defense. Face it...Arreola sucks.
That is correct. Beating Arreola is no achievement, it is just that there is little to criticize about that performance either
Funny, but I feel for the guy, as anyone that knows him, he is a tough guy, and seein him cry like that means he really wanted it, who cares what he looked like, cuz he would have been able to go 12 rounds, he had very good stamina, he was in shape...his body just didnt look it. But I feel for him, him cryin twisted me a little... He is a tough mother fucker.
REED Can Certainly SYMPATHIZE w/U, Dog...Knowing Fighters PERSONALLY, it's TOUGH to See them Lose...REED Honestly ISN'T Trying to SHIT on U or Anything, Man... But REAL TALK, SOMEBODY has Got to Get Thru to Arreola about his CONDITIONING...Sure, it DOESN'T Matter WHAT he Looks like, but C'Mon, Homey...An ELITE, CHAMPIONSHIP Level Fighter IS NOT Supposed to Look like Arreola's Body has Been Looking in his Last Few Fights:nono:... Depending on How he RECOVERS from Tonight, Arreola STILL Could have a Future in the Heavyweight Division...But if he DOESN'T Take HIS OWN Career SERIOUS Enough to Show Up IN SHAPE for the Biggest Fight of his Life, WHY Should Boxing Fans (That DON'T Know him Personally) Give a Shit???.... REED:dunno:
I consider myself a Flag Waiver, but i wanted Vitali to win. I am a HUGE fan of the Klits. I would really have to like an American fighter to want him to beat the klits. I wouldnt want him to win just cause he is from the USA. I have to be a fan.
I would be embarrased if Chris won. Its bad enough many americans are fat and out of shape, i dont want the Champion being like that too. To have a body like that means he doesnt put enough time and effort into his craft. And by the look of his nose, he drinks like a fucking fish. MErchant looked sober next to him.
Trust me I know exactly what you mean, I mean he has great stamina, but honestly he needs to take the fight game soooo much more seriously, its true he parties too much and eats...and its just not right, his passion inside the ring though is of course not even worth arguement, you can tell he fights his heart out. I have been trying to tell him for a long time, and his trainer, but it doesn't help when his trainer eats and drinks with him...
Can you imagine if he put 100% effort into his craft? Im not saying he would be an all time great, but he would be something to be proud of.
trust me it ws funny, my heart was with Chris, but I wanted Vitali to win, I just wanted Chris to make a good account of himself, and in a way...he did, he showed his toughness and heart, and he actually tried, he never stopped trying actually...
Yeah, I totally agree with you... If he came in at 220 or 225, I mean look when they showed him when he was young and an amateur, he looked fast, and skilled and damn good...He has that skill, he just has to gain more muscle and lose that fat, but he needs to lose that eatin habit and drinking... Man just cutting down would help, but he don't do it.
He never stopped and showed true heart. As i am typing this, i really am thinking that i am proud of his performance. I want to see him 100% dedicated. Lay off the booze Chris. That nose isnt looking good.
I wonder how well the medical clearance is for the Sport of Boxing, but i think with the way his nose looks, his liver cant be that great. Hopefully the doctors put some fear in him. I think that might happen sooner rather than later.
Well hopefully a doctor can scare him because nothing else works. But maybe after losing like this maybe he will dedicate himself a little differently, or at least one can only hope.
How does alcohol effect the nose? I'm asking because one time I saw this guy who had a hideously huge nose. Also it was all garbled and purple and I asked someone how his nose could look like that and they said he must be a big drinker. How is that?
