Dana really loves handpicking people for Silva to fight. I don't know why. It's not like he's a major draw or anything.

Get one good win, move to the front of the line. It really shows the lack of depth in the UFC.
Even with 4 titles, that shit rarely happens in boxing.

Actually, 155 and especially 205 are ridiculously deep. Heavyweight is getting there. 170 and 185 are a little thin though.

Me thinks Nate is going to be pissed, what was that in the other thread about the UFC looking after their loyal fighters.

...Nate seemed pretty comfortable with whoever he has to fight next when he was interviewed following his Maia destruction....Dan on the otherhand was very adamant about getting a title shot.

As a fan, i like Silva-Befort....and i like Marquardt-Hendersen, then the winners meet...makes the most sense. Hopefully these fights happen on the same card.

wow, great win for Nate, and great awareness not to follow up with more shots.

170 is deeper than 155 IMO. Pierre has just cleaned out the division. 185 is garbage.

I think there is more talent at 155 also. But I don't think 185 is full of garbage. Henderson and Marquardt are great fighters. Silva is just THAT good.

Henderson is the only other good fighter at 185. The rest of the division are scrubs, including Marquadt. He got lucky with that KO to be honest.

Maia will end up being a great fighter. He'll be champion one day. He just got caught. It happens all the time to great fighters in MMA. He'll learn from his mistake.

He's stepped it up to another level since losing to Silva. He's a great fighter and a good guy, I think he's the second best MW in the world. I'd like to see him fight Gegard Mousasi.

Nate has been on a roll since the defeat to Silva. I completely forgot about the fight with Mia. That was a very impressive win considering Mia was also on a hot streak.

I think so too. Quick KO's aren't always a sign of one man's dominance over the other....all the fight told us was that Damien's stand up isn't good (it doesn't necessarily mean it's bad)...and that he can be knocked out (but it was a good punch, he jumped into it - doesn't mean his chin is bad). We never got to see their ground games match up, and as i say, the stand-up wasn't wholly conclusive either. Damien just made a stupid error, and Nate took advantage.

Maybe they'll meet again further down the road, and it could be an entirely different fight.

Vitor deserves the shot. He blew out Rich faster than Silva did.

And with those kinda hands,...Belfort is probably the biggest threat to Silva , in the division.

Vitor doesn't deserve to leap frog Henderson and Marquardt. However, I would much rather see Silva fight someone he hasn't already beaten.

    It should be like this.

    Silva vs Belfort
    Henderson vs Marquartd.

With the winners AND losers facing eachother.

Vitor's aggressive style plays perfectly into Silva's counterpunching. Silva will look awesome in this fight. I like Vitor and I hope I am wrong, but he will get picked apart. But like said before, I like this fight just for the fact Silva hasn't beat him before. If Nate and Dan want a rematch, fight for it. I love both fighters, would be a great fight to watch.:cheer:

Belfort really doesn't have an aggressive style.. He's a counterpuncher just like Silva.

The styles could possibly make it boring.

Agreed. The only time he's aggresive is when he has an opponent hurt.
