Tua's scheduled to take on Shane Cameron down under over the coming weekend.

Briggs is slated to enter the ring on the 17th against Macellus Brown in Phoenix.

Tua is down to 235. If he got down to 220, he'd be a demon.

Sure, and if Mike Tyson gets Kevin Rooney back to his trainer and finds his head movement, he can still beat everybody

The over-under in both fights is eight. Counting the punches Tua and Briggs are going to throw that is

Dan Rafael must receive sexual favours from Briggs to devote a whole article to Shannan at ESPN.com. And what a POS it is. I quote:

"When I was sitting ringside watching the mostly boring Vitali Klitschko-Cris Arreola match [last week], I had a vision," Gotzev said. "I saw Shannon Briggs facing Vitali in a very exciting battle. And that's the goal we have in mind. We want to see how Vitali feels when he's looking at an opponent, eye to eye, who can punch harder and faster than he can."

Crazy as it sounds, that fight probably would sell well in Europe because Briggs still has a pretty big name :notallthere: compared to most of the other opponents Klitschko could fight.

Briggs has had so many disappointing performances in his career despite his talent :notallthere: and charisma. But in this horrid heavyweight era, his return might spice things up, at least a little bit.

I'd be a very dangerous opponent for [Vitali or Wladimir Klitschko]. Tell me who? Who is out there with the right stuff to take these guys down besides me? People are tired of watching the Klitschkos. They want to see faces busted open. That's what boxing needs to be a dominant sport again. That's what I do.":laughing:

:atu: Briggs will be dangerous for about 20 seconds before fatigue start setting in...

Even in his prime Briggs could not beat Vitaly....

Honestly, I kinda just wanted to see how many responses a thread title with Tua and Briggs in it would get these days, now that it's almost 2010...but this passage from the great Dan Rafael makes it completely worthwhile.

Thank you, ElTerriblee, that's classic.

Dan Rafael, the guy who still entertains weekly questions about his son, The Love Child.

A prime Briggs wouldnt beat Vitali... but he'd at least give a better account of himself than Asseola, Peter, and Danny Williams.

It is way too trendy to just write the whole division off as talentless. Just because none of the top heavyweights are American doesn't mean that the heavyweights suck. Its not that bad.

Isnt that about the same for these so called "GOLDEN" divisions?.. You've got 3 or 4 big wigs,.. then it dies off considerably?.. Then again,.. you're also the same juicy worm who thinks 168 sucks?..

Tua KO 2. Staggered him with a left in the last minute of the first, backed him to the ropes, a right and left followed putting him down. A couple more punches put him down again at the end of the round. Cameron was finished at this point. Second round, Tua backed him to the ropes again, Cameron was completely defenseless as Tua unloaded leading to ref's stoppage.

That is the best Tua has looked in 5 to 7 years maybe longer. He was in decent shape. David Tua was not fat!! His hand speed was there too. I know Cameron is a bum, but Tua looked quick. Thanks for the vID Mitchell.

Tua does look quick when his opponent stays in one place and he has five seconds to set up a combination.

He hasn't in 5 years or so. His hand speed was back. Power stays , but the speed goes. The first hook Tua landed was in his prime quick. Tua will always be doomed against boxers. Don't misinterpret what I am saying. Tua is who he is, but he has something left in the tank. I would love to see him fight Wlad if he is in that shape. He probably would lose, but one hook and Wlad would be unconscious.

Tua tried to John Ruiz him after that second knockdown.

In fact, because it never gets old...
