    I agree somewhat.
    Klitschko, Klitschko, Povetkin, Gomez
    Chagaev, Chambers
    Arreola, Haye
    Boytsov, Dimitrenko, Valuev, Thompson

It's not so great, but the top 2 are excellent and dominant and make the rest look worse than they are.

They do that just fine on their own.

If you want to see Tua fight Wlad, just pop in a Lewis versus Tua tape. Same gameplan, same outcome.

Vitaly vs. Tua...would be a repeat of Tua vs. Lewis...but with WLAD their is always that chance that Tua land something..and if he doesn't ko him..he rattles him a bit and causes him to make mistakes...

but 90% possibility of Wlad vs. Tua..looking just like the Lewis fight...

You could add Peter, Solis and Johnson in there I suppose,.. but I agree aswell particularly due to every division having 3 or 4 bigwigs, then dropping off in talent considerably,.. 168 is the deepest division in boxing in my opinion,..but due to a few undesireable ethnicities in there aswell, people (americans mostly) are more likely to latch on to welterweight, which is also a good division but, not quite as deep.

tua actually looked like his oldself this past weekend knocking out that stiff in 2 rounds. perhaps he'll soon get a title shot. not sure why that fight was so hyped in new zealand, but nevertheless, he won in front of pretty big crowd it seemed like.

i've always felt a bit sorry for tua who's only had one title shot that came against lewis at his peak. based on how valuev looked vs. holyfield, i wouldnt count out tua's chances at knocking him out.

Solis, in particular, probably belongs in the first or second tier. Oversight on mY part in not listing him. Peter and Johnson could have squeezed in somewhere, too.

And,.. since some websites are scouring the ranks in desperation, James Toney is being hyped up again, as an opponent for the Klitschko's, exhumed as a contender, is he worth the addition?. You are probably the most voracious 'source shark' of any poster I have ever, ever seen, so you probably would have come across it aswell.

I don't know that I can completely feel sorry for him after the controversy of thel Rahman elminator and then him sitting on the mandatory for two years...just gaining weight and fighting tomato cans like Obed "Glass Shoulder" Sullivan.

He was like Arreola when it came to dismissing any criticism of his plus size status.

To his credit, he got himself in shape for the Byrd fight...but after he came up short in that one, he basically kissed the 230's goodbye for a while.

It was quite a site watching him and Garing Lane in the ring together.

Few rings could have endured that kind of night.

I have never liked Toney so I would love to see him in the ring against a Klitschko.

I would pick every fighter in the list over him.

And I think you have my source sharkness confused with someone else.

People damn near always complain about the HW division no matter what. When Holmes was on top, when Louis fought "bums", when Tyson was on top, etc...Even in the early to mid 90s with many people praising it, other would say it must be bad for 40-something grandfathers to be so competitive at a high level, or talk about how poor some of the title-holders were (Seldon, McCall, Bruno, etc..). Now it's often referred to as the 2nd best era ever in HW history.

The lack of exciting fights bothers me more than the lack of talent.

It would get real, real ugly for James if he fought either of the Klitschkos.

Probably his first stoppage loss and with his toughness, he'd take a dreadful beating.

Toney had the opportunity to fight Wladimir years ago and didn't want it.

After Oquendo loses to Solis, maybe those two can have a rematch.

What Are You Gonna Do About It? Toney Says To Klitschkos
    By David A. Avila

While one heavyweight battered and moved against a smaller but determined heavyweight, James “Lights Outâ€￾ Toney sat in the audience watching the one-sided affair with disgust.

That was last week at the Staples Center as Vitali Klitschko beat up Chris Arreola.

“Klitschko was scared to death of Arreola,â€￾ said Toney. “That’s why he fought that way.â€￾

Toney shook his head at the sight of Klitschko hit and running against a smaller man and doesn’t believe Klitschko or his younger brother will ever step in the ring with him. He has proof.

“I saw Vitali at the fights. He told me he read what I said about him and his sister Wilhemina,â€￾ said Toney as only Toney can say. “I told him what are you gonna do about it?â€￾

Later younger brother Wladimir Klitschko walked by and reiterated what his older brother Vitali said. Once again Toney said: “What are you gonna do about it?â€￾

It’s a running feud that has continued for the past six years.

Why won’t either Klitschko fight Toney?

It’s a good question. Because though many fans of the Ukrainian brothers believe it would be a mismatch, you would think the Klitschko brothers would be anxious to cash in on Toney’s name and stamp themselves as one of the best heavyweights in history.

Or, maybe they are afraid of losing to a much smaller man who now weighs just above 200 pounds?

“So called boxing experts keep giving them credit. They’re bums,â€￾ said Toney who weighed 217 at his last fight after several years fighting sluggishly above 230 pounds. “It would be an easy fight with either of them.â€￾

Sitting ringside Toney said that Arreola proved he has the tools but didn’t know how to use them against the mobile WBC titleholder Klitschko.

“Vitali likes to put his head back when he’s against the ropes,â€￾ said Toney. “All you got to do is hit him in the stomach and come back with an uppercut to the head when it comes down.â€￾

It’s a simple formula if you’re Toney. He’s been considered one of the most skillful fighters of the last 20 years and has world titles at the middleweight, super middleweight, cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions to prove it.

    Steward

About six years ago a fight almost was consummated between Toney and one of the Klitschkos, but a last-minute decision to ditch the contract was made and the world never saw it happen.

Emmanuel Steward, who trains Wladimir, is seen as the person responsible for persuading the brothers to avoid Toney.

“James has the wrong style for Wladimir,â€￾ said Steward several years ago. But maybe now that Wladimir Klitschko has accumulated more technique under Steward he’s ready for a showdown with Toney?

Attempts to reach Steward were unsuccessful who saw Toney as a youngster when he arrived at the Kronk Gym in Detroit many years ago.

“I used to beat up all of his fighters,â€￾ said Toney.

After watching Klitschko beat up Arreola and force the Riverside fighter’s corner to halt the fight at the end of the 10th round, many including Klitschko said it was Arreola’s inexperience that led to his defeat.

    Not Toney.

“When I beat Michael Nunn for the world championship I didn’t have experience at that level,â€￾ said Toney. “You got to have it inside and do whatever it takes to win. You can’t stop until it’s over.â€￾

Toney won’t be stopping his quest for another heavyweight showdown soon. In fact, the prizefighter is willing to fight at a lower weight against Roy Jones Jr. or Bernard Hopkins at a catch weight.

“I weighed 202 pounds today. Mark that down,â€￾ said Toney who says he could drop down more if necessary. “None of the so-called good heavyweights want to fight me.â€￾

Dan Goossen, president of Goossen-Tutor Promotions said he’s working to get Toney in the world title picture.

“I’m going to see what I can do but I don’t know. I don’t know if they (Klitschkos) would take him. He’s certainly earned it,â€￾ said Goossen who has heavyweight Eddie chambers ranked number one and ready to fight Wladimir. “We’ll see.â€￾

Toney said hearing other people say there are no good American heavyweights make him furious.

“If they want to fight America’s best they got to fight me. All those other fighters don’t got nothing. Kevin Johnson is too young and the others don’t know what it takes,â€￾ says Toney. “I’ll get rid of Vitali then I’ll get rid of the other one. They’re tailor made for me. They don’t got nothing I haven’t seen before.â€￾

Now it’s up to the Klitschkos.

It starts with one,.. now I've found 5,.. soon enough,.. those bitter idiots will have put Toney in a position to fight for the fucking title,.. ..I would thoroughly enjoy the beat down ofcourse,.. but what I'd actually preferr is for the Klitschko's to retaliate by attacking his family, and even indulging in a little bit of racism the way Toney does,.. that'd make the shit hit the fan, without giving Toney a cent.

I a a huge Toney fan and after watching Samuel Peter outbox him with a simple jab in the rematch. I can't see Toney doing any better than losing 12 nothing. They only drama is to see if Jt gets stopped. That is to either Klitschko. Even Wlad's bitch ass would pummel Toney.

toney was taking flush shots from some fat white dude who had on basketball shorts, at pechanga. his defense and reflexes are completely gone. he's still tough but i expect he will get KOd vs the next decent heavyweight puncher he faces.
