Abraham is better than any version of Jermain Taylor. AA is a classy fighter and his fight tomorrow will be easy work.

Ahh,...Reed please, the white american thing in recent years isn't exactly supportive of anyone from middle-eastern descent like Arthur but,.. an Arab is rather adequate 'training wheels' for practicing selling out I'll give you that.

I don't disagree. He obviously has some power, I just don't think he hits AS hard as some people are making out.

I don't doubt he can punch, that much is obvious.

My disagreement comes with him being one of the heaviest hitters in the sport.

    Based on what exactly?

    Bums.

    Seriously, it's the Freitas syndrome.

He's scored some admittedly nice KO's over complete scrubs, and suddenly he's the hardest puncher in the sport?

    No.

He sure didn't look like a pound for pound puncher against Eastman, or Taylor, or even the first Miranda fight. Or against Jantuah, or against Marquez, or against Simon.

In fact his power looked utterly average in all of those fights.

I haven't seen his last fight, but he's only looked like a puncher in a couple of fights I've seen of his.

U'll See Tonight, Mex...Taylor's HITTABILITY + Abraham's POWER = an IMPRESSIVE KO...Wouldn't Surprise REED @ All if Abraham KO'ed Taylor More IMPRESSIVELY than Pavlik Did...Not EARLIER Necessarily, but More IMPRESSIVELY....

I don't think Taylor is as easy to hit as you make out...it was easier for Froch and Pavlik to land on him because of their reach, i expect Taylor to be effective from the outside tonight

If Arabham scores a proper KO like Pavlik did (ie before Taylor gasses and gets taken out from exhaustion, like the Frock fight) - I'll take it back and admit he is a legit puncher.

But unless he's become even more shot since fighting Frock, I think Taylor wins, honestly.

A shocking prediction from you. If Abraham wins the opponent is shot, if Abraham loses he is garbage.

Taylor's FLAT-FOOTED, Relatively IMMOBILE, Keeps his Hands CHEST HIGH, DOESN'T Really Move his Head @ All & Retreats in a STRAIGHT LINE when Hurt...

He's Pretty EASY to Hit in REED's Opinion...

No. It's easy to tell if a fighter is shot, whether they win or lose.

If Taylor looks as competent as he did against Frock for example, and Arabham beats him, I'll give credit where credit is due.

That is my prediction. If Taylor has anything left, he wins easily. Imagine, a shot Jermain Taylor is the biggest step up in this guy's career. Anyone that thinks Abraham is a puncher knows absolutely nothing about boxing. He hasn't even knocked out all of the non-world class fighters he has fought.

Let's be honest. Abraham is not even competetive versus a prime Jermain.

Who's laughing now? And PLEASE dont say JT lost cause he's shot. I dont think any version of him would beat AA. Taylor is an epic fail against white guys w/power.

No, I don't think he is. Arabham got lucky because Taylor gassed, I had Taylor up 11-0 at that point. :kidcool:

Abraham is nothing special, he's just what the doctor recommends for a Taylor KO. A durable heavy handed fighter.

Abraham really is one of the clumsiest and most utterly crude pro fighters I've ever seen in my life. He made Taylor look skilful. Boxing is really going down the swannie if a guy like that can get as far as he has.:boohoo:

The same people who bitch about Klitschkos winning their fights in wrong style are whining again. Abraham figured Taylor out in the four first rounds, then took over and beat Taylor with ease, never being in trouble and finishing in style.

Sure, Abraham is not pleasing to watch but he seems to be damn difficult to beat. Too bad, for some, looks mean more than success.

REED Looooooooooooves Watching Abraham...w/Each Fight REED is More & MORE Impressed...The ONLY Logical Complaint a Boxing Fan Can Have w/Abraham is his INCONSISTENT Pace Which Admittedly Makes it Harder to REwatch his Fights, KNOWING the Result Ahead of Time...

But Watching his Fights AS THEY HAPPEN, Abraham's Style HEIGHTENS The Anticipation, N REED's Opinion...He May Go 2 Minutes of a Round w/Out Doing Shit, but U Just KNOW He's Gonna Unleash @ Some Point...He's Similar to a Cobra STALKING its Prey...& WHEN he Unleashes, it's a Rapid, BRUTAL Delivery...

If U Still CAN'T Acknowledge that this Dude can BANG, U're just HATING on Him...w/a SINGLE Right Hand, he STRETCHED Jermain Taylor...Taylor was FLAT on his Back, Hatton Style...

AA is a bad ass, but due to styles Dirrell might beat him, and Kessler WOULD beat him. AA would smash Froch though. It'd be ugly for Carl.

how can you call him badass when he flat out does nothing except hide behind that ridiculous guard? youve always been the biggest bandwagon jumping homosexual on this site.

AA is a poor mans winky wright and that is being kind. he's the most predictable fighter in the tournament.

I totally agree and very well said REED. Abe has an awesome style to watch. Here we are in an era of succesful fighters either a) fight like a complete bitch, running, holding, and generally doing there best to avoid doing anything remotely resembling a fight or b) weight draining themselves to the point of starvation in order to gain a ridiculous height and reach advantage over their oppoenents, then implementing bitch tactics since they don't have the gas to go 12 after starving themselves.

And here we have a fighter like Abe, who is clearly fighting at or even slightly ABOVE his natural fighting weight, doesn't do anything remotely resembling any holding or bitch tactics, using actual DEFENCE rather than turning his back, running, etc, hits with TRUE POWER, utilizes feinting, varies power to set up his shots, all with meaning, breaks down his opponents mentally and physically.. and boxing 'fans' somehow complain about his style ??!!?!

I can't be sure yet, but I think last nights AA fight may have actually made a boxing fan out of my woman, who was very impressed by the composure of a man in a sport regarded by many non-boxing people as archaic and wild.

So fucken what? Like George Foreman said about his punches: yes they are telegraphed but the message gets through. Same here, everybody knows what to expect from Abraham but it is up to the opponent to do something about it. So far nobody has been able to and last night Abraham won with ease

Considering AA and Winky's styles are NOTHING alike... you're pretty slow for comparing the two. How am I hopping a bandwagon? Its not like I picked Taylor. The fight went exactly how I thought it would, and JT ended up KTFO exactly like I thought. Prior to last night I would pick Kessler over AA, and I STILL would. But AA is a badass cuz while limited, he is strong as fuck, and has one shot fighting ending power. Anybody who he can land on is in a world of trouble. Thats why he'd kill Froch.
