I really don't see what the big deal is. Dude has been retired for years. He made enough money where he shouldn't have to work the rest of his life, so obviously he's doing more eating than going to the gym. I mean seriously, what did y'all expect? In his shoes most of you mofo's would be lardasses too. I wouldn't though, but it's only because of my metabolism.

Seriously, how is it a good or a bad thing how a long-time retired fighter looks now, why does anybody care at all? Apart from the undeniable fact that it is fun to make fun out of fatsos, Hamed nor anybody else has any obligation to stay in shape

 

Because it indicates that his favourite way of transportation remains his Mercedes and that puts every human being in the UK into Harmeds way.

 

I think it was just quite a shock to see a guy, who was so fit and trim, looking like this. Duran took 30 years to get that way, and Duran was a notorious eater.

Plus, Hamed was super cocky in his prime, but now Larry Merchant looks to be in better shape than him.

I know alot of people hated the guy, and he was nowhere near as good as he said he was, ridiculously overrated and so on, but I miss those Naz nights, they weren't just fights, they were events. He put on one hell of a show, which no one has been able to replicate since.

 

Nobody comes close to Naz in showmanship. The guy was a good fighter and a hell of an entertainer. I always loved watching him fight.

Exactly dude, and no one can deny that he possessed a ton of heart. His American debut could not have got off to a worse start, and many lesser fighters would have folded under the pressure and weight of expectation he placed on himself, especially with that enterance . To his credit he came right back and pulled it out of the bag. That was the fight that converted me from a casual boxing fan into the fanatic I am now. So Naz will always have my respect!

 

That was a good scrap and Kelly was still a good fighter back then. It wasn't THAT bad to not look spectacular against him at that point. He still stopped him, even if he did taste the canvas a few times in the process. The Sanchez KO is still one of the more brutal KO'd I've seen.

 

Every now and then discussion comes to the topic of celebrities, athletes, and other ridiculously high paid people.. inevitably the question usually pops out (usually from a woman): why the hell do these people keep doing what their doing?? after I made my first 10 million I'd just get out of the spotlight and retire comfortably and enjoy life.. well although this is generally true that celebrities continue despite already having achieved riches, there are exception, and here is one. So next time the topic comes up, make sure to mention this one. Despite the blowout loss, Naz still stood to make piles of money, even if he were to take on subpar comp.
