Should Kauki and Double L sue Margarito for ruining their reputation as posters?

Gents, it's no secret that Double L and Kauki both blindly followed all the lies and untruths Margarito fed them, until Margarita was exposed as a cheater he is.
I could say, Double's and Kauki's reputation took a dive as well, but it was already so low, there were nowhere for it to dive.

Nah, you'll have to remember that REED started the Margarito is shit bandwagon a long time ago. That's why he's supporting Dym.

 

I am all for that - I remember requesting to ride shotgun in that bandwagon... but I doubt even Reed suspected Margarito of actual cheating. I would love to see some proof that Dym actually predicted that Margarito was cheating years prior to its discovery.

Like I said - I have called Margarito a fraud, so have a bunch of people for years now - that is not groundbreaking. Anyone can be called a fraud for a myriad of reasons. People call Floyd "Fraud Mayweather" because they question his competition or his willingness to fight the best... they are not saying he is a cheater.

I agree with you I never thought Margarito was anything special... but don't come out and act as if you had really predicted that he had been cheating for years before it was discovered.

The bottom line is, when Margarito was allowed to load his gloves, he was a real force to be reckoned with. It wasn't until he beat Cotto though that he got the credit he deserved for being a great plaster-handed fighter.

I was simply judging Margarito by what I saw. And what I saw, long before he beat Cotto, was a punching machine who was tireless and durable. The Margarito I was watching, the one with plaster in his gloves, was indeed a force to be reckoned with. That is undeniable.

If anything, it's the people who said Margarito was crap who were wrong. How could a fighter with plaster in his hands not be dominant? Margarito had plaster in his hands that we didn't know about. The plaster enabled him to knock Cotto out. That equates to:

Margarito beat Cotto with plaster - plaster (since we didn't know about it) = Margarito was a good fighter

And since Margarito was good enough to beat Cotto when he did, we can say without loss of generality that he was good enough to beat Cotto two years prior. This means that when people like dym-nipple were calling him crap, they were actually wrong. The Margarito they said was crap was the "good" Margarito - the one with plaster in his hands (that nobody knew about).

I called it. I knew Margarito was something special. And that something special, though I couldn't put my finger on it, was plaster in his hands. For all of you who said he was crap (when clearly he wasn't as evidenced by his knocking out Cotto), you were wrong !!!
