I too see Cotto's stamina being his downfall. Cotto has faded in alot of his big fights and I don't see how this one will be any different.

    We shall indeed Antwuan.

I am pretty pumped for this fight though.

Surely it's got to be a good fight, whatever the outcome.

I've been fearing since this fight was signed that Cotto was going to get beat but fuk it.

I gotta roll with my boy(From my hometown of Caguas). I say Cotto wears down Pacquiao late en route to a close decision win that sees him fall down on the cards only to come back and close strong.

    Cotto via split decision.

Hard as hell fight to predict. I wouldn't be surprised by any outcome. I think Pacman really is too small for Cotto.

I see Pac winning the first 5-6 rounds easily, then getting tagged by something big in the later rounds.

    Cotto TKO 11.

I think too much has been made of Cotto's struggle with Clottey. No one has had an easy time with Clottey, and Cotto fought three-quarters of the fight with a bad cut over the eye. There might be some slight slippage on Cotto's part, but not much IMO.

Pacquiao will look to bounce around, land the straight left through the guard as he does to just about everyone, and also the uppercut. I've seen Pac land the uppercut on some occassions (3k Battery), but it isn't one of his biggest weapons. I'm sure he and Roach are working on it as it's a punch that Cotto has been suspectible to. Torres found and hurt Cotto with some uppercuts (sort of a "hookercut"), Judah stunned Cotto with an uppercut, Margarito time and time again hit Cotto with uppercuts and all but finished him with that left uppercut. And the right hook, an improved weapon for Pacquiao which he used very effectively last time out.

Cotto has a good heavy jab that he sometimes uses at unusual occassions. I've seen him finish off a fluid 3 or 4 punch combo with a jab, rather than start off that combo with the jab. He'll pop it out and hit his opponent when they're not expecting it. He made Mosley look like a bobble-head with one of those jabs. And of course, the jab disrupts rhythm, so this may be a key weapon against Pacquiao, who can be more vulnerable to left jabs than many southpaws are. Pacquiao loves to slide out to his right after throwing a punch, either the straight left, or the right hook.

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/JDZFQCgsVw8&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/JDZFQCgsVw8&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

He doesn't always roll under, sometimes he leaves himself exposed. I remember thinking that DLH should counter with the left hook immediately to catch Pacquiao running into the hook, but DLH was way too slow. Cotto should try to counter with his trademark punch, the left hook to the body, and catch Pac running into it. Pac will land the straight left hand, no doubt, but Cotto should make him pay when he does one of his favorite moves after it.

Papa Cotto notice while watching Marquez vs. Pacquiao..that Pacquiao drops his right hand everytime Pacquiao throws the left...and that Cotto should throw the left hook not to the head but into Pacquiao shoulder...

Tough one to call but I believe Manny is THAT good. I think Manny will defeat Cotto but I don't think he could dominate 147. In a once of fight he has what it takes.

    Manny by KO 6

Pac by KO around 8-10. Pac will finish the job that Zab and Clottey couldn't.

i should also add that i won't give Cotto any credit for defeating a smaller Pacquaio who doesn't belong at the weight

This might be a fight where, for the most part, Cotto will get more credit if he wins a competitive fight rather than blowing Pacquiao out in brutal and dominating fashion.

People will just attribute it to size if his power is too much.

Cotto via majority points decision. He will not KO Pacquiao, but there is a big chance Pacman's ass will be droped to the floor, but unhurt. Both fighter's faces will finish the fight either bleeding or swollen. It will be a great fight and I hope we don't witness another bullshit decision with the true winner not getting the decision.:warning:

I've made my decision. I've based it on a few factors. Cotto dismissing the one speedy guy in his camp for bogus reasons and going into the fight of his life with his nutritionist as his trainer/strategist. Meanwhile the fact that Manny is such a beast, has Roach, and has that outstanding foot speed has forced me to go with Pacquiao.

I predict Pacquiao by 7th rd KO after hurting and dropping Cotto in the 6th.
