UFC should pay Rogers to wear a Kimbo mask, so they can finally get the street legend story going. ::
good fight, Rogers coped surprisingly well on his back....Fedor certainly aint a boxer, but his hands are quick and he packs a punch. Not keen on a rematch, but Strikeforce's heavyweight roster is so poor....who else is there!? Werdum?
good good fight, rogers surprised me with his ground game and his escape ability. tought fedor was koed for a while when he was getting gnp. I guess fedor fight overeem next, should be good , if they don't catch overeem roiding.
Only caught the main event, entertaining as hell. My only problem with what I saw was the production. Made the sport seem cheesy.
+1 BTW shield is one boring mf. Only take downs ans position. Zero GnP and average subs. Anybody with a decent sprawl will beat him easily
FEDOR overcame a broken nose and did to Rogers what he's done to most of his opponents, beat him at his own game, that right hand was nasty ya'll.The whole arena heard it ::
Goddamn Fedor is money. No better fighter to depend on for a huge night like tonight. Not only for winning, put for putting on a show. Thats why I love the guy, not only because of his skills, but because the motherfucker comes to bring it!
And did it with a broken nose.Thats why he's the GOAT IMO.Everytime he faces adversity he find a way to overcome it.

That was a lucky punch, Fedor's head was down and he was just swinging at anything because he knew he was done :crafty: ,..
The man has clearly slipped.....however, he seems to have had a "bag of tools" with him handy when he needs to try something else. Clearly he was not in shape like usual. Fedor has never been a body beautiful....but tonight is the most out of shape I've ever seen of him. AND....his face busts up easily now.
Have to agree with that, it seems people are hyping up the fact that he finds a way to win while getting an 'on the brink' beating,.. that isn't 'dominant' or even impressive. Pierre and Silva have looked dominant recently, whereas Fedor comes in pudgey and sloppy and saves the day with a desperate swing. A loss will do this fucker some good.
I dont see Where Fedor has slipped at all. Have some of you even seen Fedor's old fights? He looks exactly the same, and his weight was exactly the same as in every fight. I was worried for 1 minute of the fight only. When i saw that Fedor could land on Rogers, i knew it was over. Fedor has excellent GNP defense. It looks like he is getting hit, but he really isnt. Good job by Rogers. His brute strength is what helped him.
Strikeforce puts on the best fights. It's great taht Hendo is has signed for them. Fedor-Rogers was a great fight, Rogers did much better than i thought he would. That KO was brutal.
..what amazes me about Fedor is his composure....he was getting pounded by this massive dude, 99% of guys would cover up...not Fedor, he sees it as HIS perfect opportunity to win....he went for that armbar, even though Rogers got out of it, it stopped his own ground and pound, demonstrating attack can be the best form of defence.
I just remember him being more calculated and explosive on the ground, I'd also wished he'd have used some more of his world class sambo skills while initiated in clinches, he seemed content to sleep for too many minutes,.. BUT unlike what I said above for a razz :crafty: , the set up for the KO punch was excellent,.. he moved forward, angled backwards, and timed the head coming in at a cross-road, goodwork, but as an overall performance, it's not good enough for what he's capable of, his conditioning needs improvement, he used to have more energy than this.
I think fighting in the cage had alot to do with that and fighting a big heavyweight like Rogers. There's not as many breaks as there is in a ring but I think they will address that in preparation for his next fight.
The worst Fedor ever looked bodywise was his fight against Lindland. He was jiggly in that fight. You can look like a bodybuilder and gas easily. Obviously his training works for him.
This is ridiculous. Poor Fedor. If he doesn't Zulu his opponents anymore he gets razzed for it. Fedor was in the same shape he is always is. As far as the fight goes, he totally dominated. Fedor was all over Rogers in that first round giving him a beating. Up against the cage I think he hed a little trouble with Bretts size but that was what I expected. Especially since it was his first time in a cage. Fedor did what he had to do, and in dominating fashion. Fedor was never in any trouble and was pressing the fight the whole damn time. I do give credit to Brett as well. He is a tough dude and I think will give most of the other HW's a tough fight. Any if that performance wasn't good enough for you, damn bro, you will never be satisfied.
