I dunno, we look at the Strikeforce roster, scratching our heads at who is gonna give Fedor a test....but for Rogers, there are a couple of decent fights for him. He took a big step up this weekend, it was a gamble, and he didn't look too out of depth. He just needs to take it down a couple of pegs for the time being. Maybe they could put him against Antonio Silva.

for all his swinging punches that shot that KTFO rogers was pretty straight

i love fedors demeanor, he cracked only the smallest smile after he won last night

the dude is like the fucking terminator

congress should just go ahead and pass a law saying its impossible to kill the man

is there any doubt rogers would probably have been the favorite had he been on TUF and not the slobs they have on there this year

The Fedor Fight will MAKE or BREAK Brett Rogers...Some Guys Act like they've ARRIVED, Accept the MORAL Victory of Giving a Great Fighter "Problems" & Get Complacent After a Fight like that...OTHER Guys R HURT From Losing & Want to Get BETTER...

It'll B Interesting to See which Side of the Pendulum Rogers Falls On...

Nah Rogers right now has higher stock the silva. Of course Fedor will likey fight Overeem next, but a Rogers vs. Overeem fight would be nice. I really hope ROger's contract is up soon, because UFC is where he needs to be. And i think he would give brock one hell of a fight.

Yeah his stock is higher but Rogers is still very inexperienced...Silva would be a decent test

What skill does he have that is ahead of Lesner's? Lesner is a better Wrestler, We dont know if Roger's is a better striker. The biggest fighters that Rogers have fought is a shot, chinny arlovski and Fedor.

He just seem to have more in his arsenal IMO.Lesnar is just a wrestler with size and strengh, thats all I've seen so far.The fighters that Rogers have fought that you mentioned are much better than Mir and Coutore

But you have never seen Roger's wrestling game. What is his arsenal? He is a puncher. Fedor is better than Mir and Couture. But not Arlovski. Arlovski just got knocked out cold in his last fight and lost to Tim Sylvia:lol:

What is Roger's arsenal other than striking?

Strikeforce has ARRIVED!!!:cheer: Great night of fights. Shields should stay at 170, way more explosive there. Mousasi is at or very near top 5 P4P. Fedor is just amazing. I want to see Rogers fight Bigfoot Silva!

    In for a quick nibble.
Yeah I think Fedor would to,.. I guess the root of my irritance comes down to the fact that his fights have ended in one punch knockouts, and the aspect I love about MMA is the ground/submission game, so when I see him winning his fights with his hands the way a boxer would, I come away a bit dissatisfied. One thing that occurred to me watching it back is that Rogers, who's much taller than him, probably stretched Fedor upward against the cage and took away the balance and power in his legs which he would need to utilise his Sambo skills so, perhaps I'm being picky,.. but I still think as he's getting older he needs to rid his pinchable bits with more cardio, I'm sure he's got some energy to spare if he'll take it.

I enjoyed this card a lot. Rogers impressed me, he proved to be more than just a striker. I thought he was done when Fedor got him down, he surprised me and escaped and even had Fedor in some trouble on the ground. That shot Fedor KO'd him with, That was the haymaker of all haymakers. He put everything he had on that shot. Great KO.

I was also really impressed with Mayhem. He basically choked Shields out and Shields got saved by the bell. One more second in that round and Mayhem was the winner. I actually liked that fight.

The other two fights were just alright. I wasn't overly impressed by Gay-guard or Werdum.

I understand what you are saying, Kauki. I love the ground sub game as well. And watching Fedor always blew my mind how a big man could move the way he did from positions to subs. But I think you are giving Fedor some undo criticism as well as many others have in his last two fights. So many like you are just picking the fight apart trying to find anything wrong with the guy. Fedor has always just let the fight happen and found ways to win with whatever was given to him. He has never pushed the ground game, he has never pushed the KO. He just wins anyway the fight goes. He is getting older, and eventually as it does to every athlete, it will catch up to him. But right now he is still the baddest man in MMA and just took out a monster in Brett Rogers.
