I completely agree with you Gatti. That is the best I have ever seen Werdum fight. He came back from that 1st round where he was seconds away from being stopped. His BJJ is of course great and that was some great transition grappling especially against Bigfoot, who is a blackbelt as well. But Werdum looked great with the Muay Thai clinch and had some nice standup. I really don't understand why people didn't like Shield's/Miller. The transitions were great. Shields dominated a noticeably bigger Miller for pretty much all of 5 rounds. Miller almost ended it with the choke and that bell was a saving grace for Shields. Shields is a great grappler. But, IMO, he really needs to go back down to 170. He was able to dominate Miller, but you could see that he just didn't have the strength or size to put him away. I want to see Shields fight Zaromskis at 170:cheer: Miller is decent, I would love to see him fight Cung Le. That is a huge KO waiting to happen.:kidcool: Mousasi is a stud. Sokoudjou had a good gameplan for this fight. He utilized his Judo and strength fairly well. Mousasi finished him out as expected. Personally, I wish Mousasi was still at 185, I am going to guess it was getting too hard form him to make the weight.
The shot that 'broke' Fedor's nose didn't look like much at all. I watched the Fightcamp 360 after the fight and Fedor looked like he already had a cut on the bridge of his nose.
Yes, but he wouldn't beat the Klitschko's in a standup battle with his hands, he's fighting MMA-level strikers, I just hope the time comes where he knows it's too risky to have wild brawls in the octagon, and utilises his ground game more than he has been lately, show us the diversity that makes him the ''baddest man on the planet'' because that's a huge title to carry.
Because his all-round abilities make him the baddest bastard on the planet, if he gets the better of MMA level fighters in a boxing match, I find it hard to be so enthused and celebrate that particular achievement, see when he dominated a masterful all-rounder like Noguiera using a variety of his abilities it was brilliant, this version who hangs around for a stand-up battle, there's nothing special about Fedor's stand up on the world scale, which is why I wish for his next opponents to be world class kick-boxers, so it will force him to display more weapons in his inventory.
It could be if it's Overeem. He's got great striking. His chin is not world class, but the steroids he's on definitely are. ::
