So, after doing what Cotto utterly failed to do (dominating a naturally smaller P4P fighter), should Mayweather just have a tune-up in 2010 before taking on Cotto in 2011?

Lets wait to see how Mayweather does against Erik Morales next before we discuss a fight with Cotto.

There was actually a report that Floyd's next fight may be in England. Therefore I expect he's going to fight Hatton...Mathew Hatton.

We know how PBF does against Morales. Way better than Cotto did against a fighter who Morales defeated in 12 rounds.

I like that fight. It has the whole brother revenge angle going for it.

I think it's a bit of a tough sell because Matthew Hatton has one more loss then Pacquiao.

However many people think that Pac deserved a loss in one of the two fights with Marquez.

You change that win to an 'L' and they are equal.

It's a terrible fight are you on crack?

Hatton The Younger is no good at all. When you draw with Lovemore N'dou (who really doesn't care about fighting anymore), you aren't world class.

Wasn't Floyd already negotiating a fight with Ivan Calderon? "Unlike Pacquiao who has three defeats, Calderon is undefeated...like me. Money Mayweather only fights the best!"

I suspect all boxing fans know what he should do.
I also suspect that he will avoid doing that at all costs.

Wow, this was for the welterweight title,.. but Cotto wasn't allowed to weigh in at 147?

Yeah, not a fan of catchweights but in reality, Cotto could have weighed whatever he wanted and still would have got beatdown.

I wish Pacquioa, his management and Roach, all thought the same thing before the catchweight demand was established.

It wasn't THE welterweight title. That belt belongs to Shane although I think he dumped it to fight Berto.

Still this fight was just for a welterweight title, but not THE welterweight title.

How does it belong to Shane? :nono:
The welterweight title belongs to Mayweather, he defeated the last welterweight champions and remains undefeated, thus, there's no way THE welterweight title belongs to anyone, but PBF.

That's basically true, but things get muddy because of Floyd's retirement.

How does it belong to Shane? How the fuck do you figure it belongs to Floyd? Shane beat the man who beat the man and is the last guy to win that title in the ring against Margarito. Fuck Floyd, he just fought a 135lb fighter. I'm not talking about no damn p4p title here, I said the welterweight title.

If Floyd relinquished it due to his retirement then he needs to retake it. He had the oppurtunity but rather than take it he wished Shane well in his career and said no thanks.

It was PBF who beat the man who beat the man who beat the man.In fact, he beat TWO champions (THE CHAMPIONS) at weltwerweight. That shits all over anything Mosley allegedly did.

    Fuck Mosley.

On the contrary, it was Mosley, who, given an opportunity to challenge Floyd for THE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE said (quote):"I would love to, but I gotta see my dentist first and it'll take me years to fix my teeth"
