I dont know if anyone else noticed how people are trying to make it seem Manny would be shit without Freddie. Stallone, Rourke, etc., made sure to mention that the trainer made the fighter. Michael Buffer had to announce Freddie Roach along with Pac, Roach seems to be annoyed that he cant control pac like he use to be.

This reminds me of Rocky 5, when they said that Tommy Gunn was Rocky's puppet. That Tommy would be nothing without Rocky.

Is this something that is going to explode soon?

He os becoming more and more prominent each time, Whatever about Pac, I'm sure they'd be plenty of hangers on in his crew who'd like to take roach down a peg or two for their own advantage, might put a worm in pac's ear...doubt Pac will be fighting two years from now however so hopefully they keep it together til the string is played out

IMO Pacquiao needs Roach...he has made Pacquiao a much better complete fighter. I think Pacquiao would be lose in the ring w/out Roach and his preparation for fights would suffer...

Agree...Pacquiao has one of the most successful boxing career EVER..he might have 2-3 more fights left in him..then he will retire a happy guy going out with a VICTORY over Mayweather or Mosley...

REED Could B Wrong but he DOESN'T Foresee Any Problems...Granted, Freddie Roach's Ego GROWS w/Each Fight, but on the Flipside, Manny's DOESN'T...The MONEY, FAME & NOTORIETY Increases w/Each Fight, but Manny's Ego Seemingly REMAINS the Same...

Unless Roach Gets to the Point where he's Flat Out BELITTLING Manny PUBLICLY, REED Thinks they'll B Fine...

Roach has undoubtedly improved Manny, but there is starting to appear almost an insinuation that Pac was somehow anything less than an excellent fighter before Roach came along, which of course is bullshit. Or at least, that's how I see it.

I wish they had a translator in corner of Pac. It always seems like that fat guy is doing most of the talking and Freddie just says one or two words. Wouldnt it be funny if that other guy was the real trainer.

If NOT for Roach, Manny Would've LEVELED Off @ the Morales Fights...The IMPROVEMENTS in Pac Became Noticeable Beginning w/the Morales RE...As REED Stated in his Article, " Under the tutelage of Freddie Roach, Pacquiao went from being an aggressively predictable southpaw 1-2 (right jab-left cross) artist to a destructive boxer-puncher thats added a body attack and brutal right hooks to the mix."

It's hard to disagree with the consensus that Roach has improved Manny, because the evidence in support of it is clearly visible.

I just think that Freddie's role is becoming overrated somewhat. IMHO pretty much ANY good trainer could have turned Pac into a monster, because the natural gifts have been there all along. When a fighter is as good naturally as Manny is, really, how good does a trainer have to be to make him great?

I can confirm Buboy is saying pretty much what Roach is telling him. I was translating last night for some friends what he was saying and it's basically what Roach is saying, "Stay off the ropes", "In and out". etc

Trainers are overrated as are almost all coaches and managers. However, Manny was a talented but one dimensional brawler until Roach added some wrinkles. They are a dynamic duo.

You cant confirm shit. Buboy is talking befor roach gets a chance to say shit to Manny. Buboy is talking non-stop in that corner while roach says a few words here and there.

Exactly, people are alway's overrating the importance of the trainers, just a few years ago, Buddy McGirt was the hottest thing ever, he could turn shit to gold and was getting a major part of the credit for his fighters success. Same thing with Steward, boy did he helped Taylor improved. Thing is, sure you'll notice a big difference between a world class pro trainer and a lousy one, but at this level, if he has the fighter's respect, a trainer is pretty much as good as his fighter allows him to be. IMO, Pac would be just as good had he hook up with another world class trainer

DId Buffer really announced Roach ???? That's a damn shame and if Roach had a part in this, he's really a lowly human being

I think roach is okay too. I think roach was very instrumental in what Pac has become. I just wonder if all of the credit that roach is getting will soon bother pac.

Anthony needs to call the Wild Card and hang out with Freddie for an hour or two, and remind him that I am the guy he met in San Antonio and Houston that always talks with him about the "David Capo fight."

The man is honest, and what you see is what you get with him, and Anthony can probably use a lesson in character from a great man like Freddie.

I have never heard a bad word from anyone that has met Freddie in person, and I won't once Anthony meets him.

Tell Vanes I said hello and I'll be there when he wins his first title, and I'll do another great piece on him.

I like Freddie and think he is responsible for Pac's success. My point is that when a fighter feels like they were nothing without roach and would never be nothing without roach, it might get to him. Im wondering if Pac will have a problem with Freddie, similar to how Tommy Gunn had a problem with Rocky.
